I had a good workout tonight. I figured out how to program the user-defined workouts on my treadmill, and I really liked how much control it gave me. I configured it to go hard for 100 seconds and then easy (7.0 mph) for 100 seconds. The hard intervals started at 8.0 mph and went up to 10.5 mph. I had to slow it down on about 3 of the intervals and only ran those in 8.0 or 8.5 mph. But on the last one I surprised myself and was able to run at 10.5 mph. It was a good workout for challenging myself mentally. I ended up running 5.25 miles in 40 minutes. Actually, 5.34 miles, but I always round down when running on the treadmill. Burt, the reason I don't out and do "real"intervals is because I am a foul weather wimp. You should know that by now. :) Oh, and I got slightly more miles this week than last. So I'm happy with that. But at this rate I'll be lucky to run 500 miles this year. Hopefully I can do more next week. I'm enjoying it when I do run, so that's a good sign.
