I was getting ready to go running this afternoon, and my little girl overheard it. She insisted on going with me. So we went out, and I was thinking it would be a two mile run. We got out a mile, and I asked "more running?" She immediately said, "yah," so we kept going. When we were 3 miles away from home, she said, "Home. Mommy." So we turned around. After about a quarter mile she wanted to get out and play in a puddle, so I let her. And she wanted to play in the snow, so I let her. Then she didn't want to get back in, so I had to bribe her with candy. Then she was happy the rest of the way because I let her hold a snowball, which of course she decided to munch on. It was 6 miles of running at 8:31 pace. |
