We lived in Kansas City from 2001-2005 and I'm glad I hadn't found the running bug yet. Summers were brutal, but I had only lived in the West before moving to MO. I wonder if it will be much different than TX? When our little kids would play outside in the heat for 5-10 minutes then come inside wilted I knew it was a tough environment.... Summers will be very interesting for you! And God bless the man who invented central air conditioning.
