I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

Again, the farthest I have ran in 2 months!!!  YEAH!!  I took advantage of my parents being home and got up early to run daughter and stroller free.  I was going to run 4 out and 4 back, get some water and then do my usual 3 mile loop.  Didn't work out that way.  I felt really good at 4 and didn't want to turn around.  I get sick of out and backs sometimes, so I kept going.  There was a nice breeze so the temp felt good. 

I did the run in 20 minutes faster than the first 10 miles I ever ran ( about 4 or so months ago, can't remember).  Average pace was low 10's, slow but steady.

It was my day off today so we slept in until 7:30.  Being as is was already warm and because I did the 10 yesterday, Anna and I went 3.  I am so happy that running 3 feels so "easy" again.  It was hard for me for deal with when I first started running again at doing 3 kicked my butt.  I know that is how it works, but I didn't like it.

Anyway, happy to be running!!!

Same course again, to the LaVerkin stake center and back.  I feel alot better than when I started runing again and that is very encouraging.  I remember the first time I ran this route and it killed me.  Now I breathe so much better and just feel better. 

Anna had fun this morning talking about the goats and we saw some baby lambs and they baa'd at her.  She liked that.

Same 4.5 again.  Anna slept most of the way so we didn't talk about goats or horses or anything.  I finally wore the same shoes I wore when I hurt my knee, I hadn't worn them in a couple of months.  No reason really, just hadn't.  

Anyway, glad to be running again!!  Hopefully I will get another long run in this weekend before the Bryce 1/2.

I SLEPT IN TODAY, SO WE ONLY HAD TIME TO RUN 3.  SAME OL, SAME OL 3 MILE LOOP.  LOTS OF HILLS THAT MAKE ME FEEL STRONG AND I LOVE THAT.  ANYWAY, HAPPY TO BE RUNNING!!!

FEELING REALLY GOOD.  IT IS HARD TO TELL WITH SUCH SHORT RUNS, BUT HAPPY TO BE DOING IT.
