Ran my regular 3 mile loop that I run frequently. The weather was good. Did it in the ususal 30 minutes.
| | I did my usual 5 mile run this morning. Felt good doing it. It took about 50 minutes. I am happy with that. |
| | Today I ran with my dad, his friend and one of my friends. I haven't done much running with other people and that was fun. |
| | My usual 5 mile run today. I enjoy it and will continue. My shin has been hurting a little so I think I will try running every other day instead of every day and see how that works for me. | |
| | Once again I ran my usual 5 mile run. I am not sure how slow or fast, but I felt good while I ran and that is important. The leg didn't bother me at all, so I feel I made the right decision on every other day, which I will do most weeks but maybe not all. |
| |
So much for running every other day. That is funny, but I had to take advantage of having a baby sitter this morning and so I ran again.
I combined my usual tougher 3 miler with my usual easy 5 mile and had another good run. I am ready for the 5k I signed up for next weekend. Haven't up my pace any, in fact it took me an hour and a half to run this morning, but I am not running for speed, but for fun. |
| | I dpn't change my route very often so I went my usual 5K today. Once again, I took advantage of having a babysitter. | |
| | It was so good to run today, it has been to long and I hope to never go that long without running again. (Hopefully, anyway). It wasn't to cold which always helps make it a better run. |
| | Race: |
Painters (5 Miles) 00:28:10, Place overall: 57, Place in age division: 13 | | I ran this slower than last year, but I am bigger so that is fine. Next year I hope to run the 1/2 and that will be good. I felt good and will get more miles logged next week.
| | I got new shoes and LOVE them. I was running in trail shoes before, they are good shoes but I absolutely love the new asics. It felt way good to run a longer run today.
|
| | Once again I took advantage of having a babysitter and got to run. Just the normal 5 miler. I don't get to much variety in my running, but I still love it so I am happy with that. | |
| | Same 5 as usual. I am loving my new shoes and need to remember to switch off with my old ones so that they will last longer, but I have struggled with that so far. I hope to up my miles next week. We will see what happens with that. I would love to be ready for the Hurricane 1/2. |
| | Today I ran the same 8 mile route as the first time I ran 8. That was fun. My leg felt ok as I ran, but now that it is later it is starting to hurt again. As I was running I looked down at my feet and noticed that my right foot does land weird and I am sure that has something to do with the pain. We will see. I would love to break the 8 mile barrier I am on and go for at least 10 next week but I don't want to do permanent damage to my leg. | |
| | Again I ran 8 and I was happy to notice, my leg didn't hurt after the first few steps. Now that it is later in the day, it still isn't hurting so hopefully it will get better. I am happy with my progress so far and will break my 8 mile barrier soon. |
| | My leg wasn't hurting so I ran, and felt good the whole way. I want to run faster and hopefully when I shed a few pounds I will. I figure at least I am running and that counts for something. I did my usual run again, a loop around my neighborhood and then out to the LaVerkin stake center and back. I got my Garmin back so now I can switch up my running a little bit and know how far I am going. I am looking forward to using it again and will sometime this week. |
| | This is the farthest I have ever ran!!!!! By 2 miles even. I felt really good, but the last mile kinda killed me, but I kept going. I am quite proud of that. I got my Garmin back and I am running about what I thought I was, I averaged around 10.5 and 11 minute miles. That is slow, I know, but I hope to get faster and that will come eventually. My leg felt good. No problems there, and that is good also. | |
| | The plan was to go 8 but the wind was INSANE and so I didn't make it to far. I will go farther another day. Went home and did some weights. |
| | I AM WAY HAPPY TO HAVE RUN AGAIN TODAY. I HATE IT WHEN I CAN'T. I WENT UP A BIG HILL AT 7 MILES AND THAT WAS PRETTY STUPID CUZ THE PLAN WAS TO GO 10, BUT I COULDN'T AFTER THAT. OH WELL. I WILL GET ANOTHER 10 MILER IN NEXT WEEK. | |
| | Race: |
Dam 2 Dam (5 Miles) 00:48:00, Place overall: 107 | | I finished and I felt good. That is all that matters. I am slow. I have said it before and probably will again, but at least I am running. I am happy with that for now.
| |
I felt good today and I even took one whole minute off my time from the first time I ran 10 miles. What a defeat!!
I am enjoying running again and I quite glad I am doing it. Slowly but surely I will be ready for a 1/2 soon. |
| | I only had time for 3 this morning and I didn't take my garmin so I am not sure of the time. I tried to push it because I was doing such a short run, and I felt like I did, I am just not sure how much. |
| | 45 minutes on the elliptical. I would have rather been running but at least I got to exercise |
| | 1 hour on the elliptical. I enjoyed it more today, I did a program so it was better. Should have checked how far it said I went but I forgot. | |
| | Again elliptical and again didn't see how far I went. I did it for about 45 minutes then did weights. |
| | 45 minutes on the elliptical and then weights. Pretty uneventful |
| | 45 minutes on the elliptical. I am enjoying the elliptical more now than the first day I did, but I can't wait to get back outdoors to running. |
| |
Elliptical again, 45 minutes again and then weights. I go home today so tomorrow I get to run again. YEAH!! |
| |
It felt great to be outside today and running again. All last week I was working out inside on the elliptical, and I don't enjoy exercising indoors as much as outdoors. Anyway, felt good and loved being outdoors again.
|
| | Today was the first time that I ran in the afternoon. It was warm but it felt good. I wish I would have had time for more, but then, at least I got to run the 4. My leg sooms to be much better. The week I took off last week, from running, seems to have done some good. |
| | It took my about 3 miles to warm up today, which I don't understand, but once i hit 3 I felt really good. I took 2 whole minutes off my time from monday on the same route which is always a good thing. It is warming up and I love the weather. | |
| |
I ran mid-day today and it was better than the last time I did that. I felt good and even got some sun, always a plus.
Just my normal 5 miler, no slower and no faster. I actually keep a pretty even pace from one run to the next. I suppose that is good. |
| | I finally got to run this week. Yeah!! I got off work early so I took advantage and put on my running shoes. I wish it would have been more but that was all I had time for. Hopefully tomorrow or saturday I can log some more miles. Run felt good, no more leg problems. |
| | Finally some miles today!!!!! Yeah!!!!! I felt really good and the last 2 times I have ran 8 miles I have taken a couple minutes off my time. That is quite cool. Hopefully next week I can log some more miles with it staying dark later, that should help. |
| | Once again I only had time for 3 before picking the daughter up at the babysitters house. I almost feel like 3 is pointless so I have to tell myself it is better than nothing and I need to try to do it faster. Anyway, I ran and I enjoyed it. That is what matters most. |
| | I got off work early today so I took advantage again and ran. My normal 5 miler, out and back from the house. It was warm today, but I felt really good. No more leg troubles, I think the time off I had helped and not running everyday has also helped. I am excited for tomorrow because I should be able to fit a longer one in. |
| | I only had time for 5 again, but I ran and like I say every time, at least I got to do that. I felt good and feel better as I run then I did when I first started. I didn't wear my watch so I am not sure how fast or slow I went but that is fine. |

Tar n' Trail (6 Miles) 00:01:06 | | This was a run in Ashland Oregon. The race description said some uphill which wasn't quite right, it was through mountains. It was absolutely beautiful and I am glad I ran. The hills were absolutely insane though. I did ok considering I did walk a few times when I wasn't running any fast than I could walk so I conserved some energy and walked up a couple of the hills. All in all the course was amazing and some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. I am quite glad I ran. |
| |
I am in Oregon and it is cold and rainy, but I ran and it felt good. Being on vacation I have eaten way to much food and my sister keeps telling me that calories don't count on vacation. Not believeing her, but nonetheless I have been eating like it. I can't wait to get home and eat better and less and run more. I will run again in the next few days. |
| | I ran after work today. I felt a bit sluggish from the days I have taken off and all of the food I ate on vacation didn't help. All in all it was a good run and hopefully next time I will feel a little better. | |
| |
I finally ran pushing my daughter in the jogging stroller. Hated it, but now I have no more excuses for not running. I think I will get used to it though.
I set out to do at least 4 but my garmin kept shutting off on me and I just replaced the batteries, so I went on a route that I have done numerous times and I know it is 3 miles. I am going to run it again tonight and maybe later this week attempt pushing her for 5 miles. She is 3 and about 30 lbs so I should probably appreciate the added resistence or something. I will get used to it and it will get easier, I am just glad to run. |
| |
Again I ran after work pushing the daughter in the jogging stroller. It wasn't as hard as yesterday thank goodness which will help my motivation to keep doing it. I think maybe tomorrow I will try pushing her for 5. We will see.
Anyway, it was a short but good run. I hate only doing 3 thats just enough time to get warmed up and starting to feel good. Oh well, at least I can do that and it is definately better than nothing. |
| |
Same as the last couple of days, ran my usual loop while pushing my daughter in the jogging stroller. It has gotten easier than the first day which is good. I was starving when I got off work so I just ran the 3 and ate 5dinner. I will do more later in the week.
|
| | Today I got to run without pushing my daughter and it was the farthest I have ran in weeks. I felt really good and can't wait to do it again. I didn't wear my garmin so I have no idea what my pace was or anything. Hopefully I will get it working. |
| | I felt great today!!! It was a bit windy and it still amazes me how you can have a head wind every direction you turn. I felt really good and even though I didn't have my garmin, I feel like I am speeding up a bit. I feel like I will be ready for the Hurricane half and hoping to sign up for the st gerorge marathon soon. | |
| | I ran when I got home from work, pushing the daughter in the stroller again. I feel like I pushed it but without the garmin or looking at the clock when I left I can't be 100% sure. I tried out a new pair of shoes the Vasque Aether or something like that. They are comfy and I will probably use them for my shorter runs and save my Asics for longer. Tonight I am going to try my new New Balance shoes and see how I like them. I am feeling better and better each time and I need to find some time to get some longer runs in. |
| | I got to run this morning and I loved it. I miss getting up and going for a run. Once it gets hotter, I will have no choice though. Anyway, my usual 5 miler and I felt good. Glad to be running!!!!!! |
| |
Just my usual 5 mile run. Not to much changes in my running world. I really want to log some REAL miles though and hopefully I can find some time to do that. I am feeling good and loving being able to run. |
| |
Not much different than my 3 mile run any other day. I pushed my daughter and ran after work. I hated running at night the first time I did it, but I have gotten used to it and don't mind it so much any more. I really need to get some more miles in and am off earlier the rest of this week so I can. Yeah!!
Anyway, same run different day. I am loving being able to though!! |
| |
Today was a good run. I pushed my daughter and felt good the whole way. I will most likely push her at the 10k this weekend.
My friend, Brett, met me at the bridge and rode his bike while I ran and that was fun to have some company and someone to talk to.
The last mile is a slow and steady up hill and pushing a 30 lb child isn't always easy, but the resistance and workout is awesome.
Glad to be running!!
|
| |
Same thing as yesterday just without my friend riding his bike with me. It was a bit warmer today but with some stronger wind gusts. I just love those.
I felt quite good again and am very thankful for that.
Love to be running!!! |
| |
It was quite windy this morning and a little chilly, but I felt good. Didn't have to push the stroller today which was nice. Although, I have noticed that with pushing the stroller I am getting stronger and faster (not alot, but enough for now).
Happy to be running!! | |

Run 4 Kids (6.2 Miles) 00:57:06, Place in age division: 9
I wanted to do this run in under an hour and did. I am improving and that makes me quite happy.
I passed more people than passed me and that is always good. It was a good run, a few hills, but the hills are great training!!
Glad to be running. | |

The plan this morning was to do 13, but I made it ten. I ran with my dad and we did the first half in sub 9's (still learning racing lingo, but I think that means high 8's). I haven't ran even a mile that fast in a couple of years so needless to say, I slowed down the second half. Also once we turned around, we were going up hill and had a pretty nasty headwind. We did the first 6.2 in 54 minutes, I believe, and that was 3 minutes faster than the run I did on saturday and we stopped for a drink at about 4. I need to get used to drinking when I run, I don't like it and even today with just the sip I had, I got a side ache. If I am going to progress though and log some good miles, I need to hydrate, especially now that it is warming up.
I wore the wrong socks with the wrong shoes and got what seems to be a blood blister on my toe. It hurt worse this morning, so live and learn on that one.
I am still debating on running another 3 this afternoon while pushing my daughter. Like I said in the beginning of this, the plan was to do 13 and by golly I want to do 13. It still counts when it is in 2 parts, right?? So, if the mileage up top says 13, I did, If not, I suckered out.
I did it!!!!!!!! Pushing the daughter even. It was hot ( I ran about 5 pm, stupid. It was at least 85 or 90 degrees if not more) The one thing I hate about Hurricane is the wind. No matter what direction you turn, you have a headwind. Not all days, but alot of them. That should have been my clue not to go, but I am stubborn. Anyway, the wind hurt me today, but I did it and am glad it is over..
| | I ran the same route as always. My blisters hurt and for some reason my left quad is hurting a little bit. When I got done running, it hurt to walk, but only for a minute. Hopefully it will get better not worse. |
| |
I ran after work today, it was quite windy the second half and that is never fun. Both my blisters and my leg felt good after the run. Although, this morning my leg is bothering me again. I am going to take at least a few days off and maybe try some muscle rub or something to see if that can help it.
|
| |
I slept in until 10:30 this morning so I didn't start running until 11. It was warm by then, but I felt quite rested. I pushed my daughter to my usual 4.5 run. Not much variety when I run, I need to take the Garmin out and find me another few loops for the mileage I want so I can switch things up a bit.
Happy to be running. | |
| |
Once again, same route. It absolutely killed me, again!!!! INSANE headwind the entire first half. Enough so, that I almost turned around early. Once I hit the half way point and I turned around I got an INSANE side ache and had to walk for a few blocks (or 5). It hurt to breathe and it was more in my gut than in my side. I assume that it is still a "side" ache. I only remember one other time that I had a side ache so bad that I had to walk. Crazy. I am starting to think I am not ready for the half. I will probably do it anyway, I suppose I am just frustrated today.
My leg hurt a little bit at the beginning but went away quickly.
Happy to be running!!! |
| |
I actually got up early to run. I have meant to the last 4 saturdays or so and haven't, so I am glad I got up. I went to the LaVerkin stake center and back, my usual 4.5 or 5 run. About 2 miles into it I had a crazy side ache again and had to walk again. This time I limited my walking to 1 block instead of the 5 or so I walked last time. It was fine after that. I don't understand it. When it happened on Thursday I just thought I had drank to much water or something, but I didn't drink anything before I went this time.
I suppose all I can do is see what happens next time. The leg felt ok, a bit awkward at first but no pain.
Glad to be running! |
| |
I ran today after work and didn't get started until about 7:15 pm. I pushed my daughter and went the same route. I am not feeling as good as I did a couple weeks ago and that is frustrating. I felt like I was really going to take off and start doing really good, or at least better. My leg hurting like it did didn't help, and on tonights run it only felt awkward for the first 1/4 mile, if that, and still feels fine, so that is a good thing. I suppose I am just frustrated with the lack of time I find to run and not logging very many miles. I feel like I need miles to get better. Anyway, I am happy to be running and I will get off the pitty pot now.
| |
| |
Same as always, I really need to switch things up a bit, although, it makes it really easy just to put on shoes and go. I never have to worry about where I am going to go and I just kinda do an auto-pilot thing.
I had a good tail wind the first helf and an INSANE headwind the entire second half. It made the last mile (which is up hill anyway) that much tougher. It did feel good though to have to give that extra effort.
I felt much better today. Absolutely no leg pain, not even in the beginning and that started off the run better than yesterdays. I still wish I could get some higher miles ran and in all actuality if I make it important enough, it will happen. (What a concept).
Glad to be running!! |

Hurricane Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) 02:04:11, Place overall: 89, Place in age division: 31
This was my first half and I felt really, really good!! At every mile marker I would think, "another mile already". Not that I was going all that fast or anything, I just felt good. My dad ran the 5K and then came back and met me at about mile 8.5. He runs faster than me so for the last 4 miles or so he pushed me. Up until that point I was just running at a very comfortable pace and not pushing it at all. I am glad he motivated me and it felt amazing to finish that much stronger. I am very happy with my time. All week I have been thinking if I finish in under 2:30, I will be happy, so I am very stoked with my time!!
Glad to be running and glad to have my first 1/2 under my belt.
| |
I hadn't ran my 3 mile loop in awhile and it felt good to run it. It is pretty hilly and quite the workout for being only 3 miles. I pushed my daughter and she wanted to chat the whole time. It is cute when she does that. Sometimes on the hills she tells me, "go faster mommy", or she will look at my feet and say "oh, i thought you were walking". Anyway, it was a good short run.
I feel great still after saturdays run. I didn't get to sore, and that is crazy. I did take a couple of walks yesterday just to make sure I didn't stiffen up, but still feel really, really good!!
|
| |
Once again not much variation to my run. Pushed my daughter and did the same route. The second I walked in my door after the run the weather turned all sorts of nasty. That was pretty cool, it would have sucked getting stuck in that.
My knee is a little sore this morning, not a clue why. Hopefully it just has something to do with the weather, otherwise, I am falling apart.
Anyway, happy to be running!!! |
| | I went trail running with my friend in Zion National Park today. I loved running on the dirt and my knee felt great. We ran in some pretty sandy stuff for about 1.5 miles and then we hit some pavement. The plan was to run back into Springdale to where we met, but I only made it about a half mile. My knee started killing me!!! It is a very awkward pain. The next day I could barely walk and now in monday, it is still hurting. It is weird and I don't get it. I am going to take it easy (have no choice on that) and see what happens. It is frustrating to have such a great 1/2 last weekend and then get hurt. I don't like it, but I will live and try not to hurt it more. |
| | I gave in and made a doctors appointment today for my knee. Still can't walk right, still swollen and it has been 4 days. I am a bit scared of permanent damage. I have no clue what I could have done to it. | |
| | I went to a preventative medicine doctor today that does what is called prolo therapy. Very interesting. He told me that I had torn a ligament by my knee and that by taking alleve and an anti-inflammatory medicine I had interupted my bodies natural healing process. He says that your body goes through 3 stages of healing and each stage in necessary to heal properly. If it doesn't go through all 3 you prone to re-injury. So, he put 4 shots directly into my ligament. I believe the shot contained fish oil and some omega 6 (I know, ridiculous I don't know exactly what it was). He says that this will restart my healing process, starting with the inflammatory stage which I had stopped by taking medicine. With this I should heal properly and be able to run again in 2 weeks. When he was explaining everything and said only 2 weeks healing time, I said "give me the shot." My knee is pretty big and was even bigger yesterday. It is pretty stiff, but so far no more pain. We will see what happens. So far, not necessarily a believer, but if I can run in only 2 weeks I will definately be a believer!!
|
| | Walking with my parents and pushing my daughter in the stroller. The doc said walking is good at this stage of the recovery process. My knee is feeling better, I can't wait to run!!!!! Only a little over a week now. |
| |
I am finally walking normal today ( or closer anyway). It has been a week since I have walked rigth so that is a good feeling. At work on friday I talked to a couple of people that have done prolotherapy themselves and are quite postitive about it. That was reasurring because thursday and friday were the worst days. I am feeling better about it now and will keep updated. I look forward to running again... 10 more days. |
| | Went walking with my daughter. It was slow but steady, just trying to keep the knee loose and hopefully help with recovery. |
| | My knee was huting at work today but once I left work and got off of the concrete it felt better, so I bundled my daughter up and we went for a walk. I planned on going 3 but it got pretty cold and windy so we turned around before we had hit a mile. As I was nearing the house my knee started hutring a bit again, but is definatly feeling better now. The true test will be when I run on thursday, soon I will count the hours until I can run again!! I am jonesing!!!! |
| | Another walk pushing my daughter. After I got home from wrok I ate dinner and my mom, daughter and I went for a walk. It started sprinkling on us a little bit. I have enjoyed the coolness of the weather this last week. Knee is feeling 100% better. Hasn't hurt or been uncomfortable for a few days. I can hardly wait until thursday to try running. I am feeling quite blah and need to get back in shape. I feel like I have gained every pound I lost, back, and that is Very depressing. |
| |
It was another good walk this morning and warmer than it has been. I actually had to take my sweat shirt off. 4 days until I get to run!!!!!!!!!
Knee feels good!! The true test is thursday. I will start counting hours soon. (or not). |
| | Walking with my daughter. Itching to run, BAD!!! Pushing her in the jogging stroller, I just want to start running, and that is hard. Soon, I can run though. We took my brothers dog and had a good brisk walk. My knee is feeling very good. No discomfort. I am very pleased with that!! |
| | Good walk with my mom this morning and again, pushing my daughter in the jogging stroller. I think I will give my knee an extra day or two and wait until saturday to run. Not sure, but I will run this week and that makes me happy!! Hopefully everything will be fine. | |
| |
Walking again. I want to run so bad!! Walking today, I am nervous about running, it's not that my knee hurt, it just doesn't seem right. That is not good. I have been quite moody since I haven't ran and I want to eat everything. I HATE IT!!!!
Anyway, BLAH, and I will walk again tomorrow and then decide if I am going to run on saturday or not. The doc said 2 weeks, it has been 2 weeks. I think I hold off much longer I will explode. (Not good, again!!!) |
| | I walked the first 2 miles, with my daughter in the jogging stroller. I felt pretty good, so I ran. My daughter kept saying "Yeah, mommy, see you can run again." It was very encouraging. I went about 3/4 mile and my knee felt awkward. No pain, but I quit. I don't want to hurt it again, so I will ease back in to running. That is hard for me, but at least for now I can say I have run again, and know I will again. I just want to be smart about it. That is something very new to me, so we will see how that goes. |
| |
I am so stoked!!! I ran the middle 2 miles this morning, walking the first and last 1/2 mile!!! So far, me knee feels pretty good. No pain, I can walk fine and I am way excited about running. That makes me laugh that I am so excited about 2 miles, but it had been a month since running last and that was one of the longest months of my life!!
Happy to have ran again, hopefully I can work back up. I felt like I was making some good progress before the injury.
| |
Walking again. My knee feels awkward still, not painfull, just weird. I will probably try another couple of miles tomorrow, depending on what it feels like after work today. I am very frustrated, I just want to run and not worry. I know I can't and that is hard for me and getting harder every day. |
| |
Walked the first and last 1/2 mile again. Ran a very slow mile in the middle. Knee again, not painful, just not right.
I will most likely run again on friday, at least a mile, hopefully more. We will see.
No discomfort since I got home, just a bit while running, especially on the downhill. |
| | I walked the first and last 1/2 mile again, so obviously I ran 2. Anna (my daughter) went with me in the jogging stroller again. My knee felt much better today. Even on the hills I felt better. That is encouraging and makes me happy. |
| | 2 mile walk with Anna and my mom, pushing Anna in the stroller. Weather was beautiful maybe a bit windy, but it felt good to be outside. |
| |
Again, I walked the first and last 1/2 mile, so 2 miles of running. I am quite sore becuase I did a 10 mile hike through Zion yesterday, carrying a heavy pack. My legs didn't hurt while I was running, but before and after they did. I will probably be sore for a few days.
Hopefully later this week I will increase miles. My knee feels fine after the hike and the run today!! YEAH!!!!! |
| |
Today I wanted to run all 3, so I started running right as I left my house but had to quit and warm up with walking the first 1/2 mile. My legs are still sore from the hike. My quads are sore from all of the downhill and my calves are sore from the up hill. Or whatever, all I know is I thought I was in shape and after that 4 or 5 weeks of no running, I definately am not!!
Anyway, ran 2.5. The farthest at a time since my injury and I will run all 3 sometime this week. It is a tough 3, lots of hills. Good running!! My daughter is happy to be going faster in the stroller and we are both happy that my mood has been better, even with the little running I have been doing.
|
| |
It was quite windy today, so I probably only ran about a mile. I ran twice and both times had to quit because it was to hard to go up a hill, pushing Anna in the stroller and running into a headwind.
Happy to be outside though and slowly but surely getting back into running.
| |
I RAN ALL 3 MILES!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!! It kicked my butt, and the whole time I was thinking "I remember when I hated running this route cuz it was only 3 miles". How quickly we get out of shape. That is depressing, but I will be back in shape and running like I was, when I am ready. No pain in the knee and my legs aren't sore from the hike anymore.
Anna is very happy to be running again, she would get bored in the stroller when we were just walking. She is very supportive for a little one, it is very cute.
Happy to be running again!!!!!!! |
| |
I ran all 4 this morning in Springdale, UT. It is absolutely beautiful there. I need to remember when I run there though, to run towards the park so that I can run downhill after I turn around, or find something that is not out and back. The 2nd half absolutely killed me, I had a headwind and it was pretty much uphill!! I am happy to have gone a bit farther this time again, all I want is to be where I was when I got hurt and that is hard for me, I feel like it is so far away. It will come, I know that. I just need to remember it.
Anyway, ran 4, felt good as far as knee and legs aren't sore anymore either.
Happy to be running again!!!
| |
Today was a good walk with my mom and pushing Anna in the stroller. Same 3 as always. There is no better way to start the day then outside with a good walk or run.
Happy to be able to do it!!! |
| | Pushed Anna in the stroller. The 3 mile route I do is getting easier, YEAH!!! It is pretty hilly and it is a good workout. I can actually breathe now though when I run it, not good, but when I first started running again, I could barely breathe. My knee is great. I am a true believer in pro-lo therapy, and happy I tried it. Happy to be running!!
| |
| |
Same 3 as always. Pushed Anna in the stroller. It is getting warm, even with running at 7 am, it is warm. Summer is definately here.
Gald to be running!! |
| | Same 3 again, pushing Anna in the stroller. We have been getting up and running at 7 and it has already been warm. That is one good thing about only having time for 3, it doesn't take that long to run it. Eventually we may have to start getting up earlier. Am I a bad mom if I wake my daughter up at 6:30 so I can run??
|
| | Same 3 again, pushing Anna in the stroller. I was thinking as I was running today that there is no way I will be ready for the marathon. Especially because I am only running 3 a day still. That is depressing. I know if I really put my mind to it I can, so we will see how I do with that. Happy to run!! | |
| |
I ran 5 today without pushing my daughter. It feels weird when I don't have her with me. I felt ok, although I completely ran out of juice the last mile. I walked about 20 or 30 steps somewhere about 4.5 but then I started going again. The last mile or so is a steady up hill, I know they are good for me but I don't like them. Before I got hurt they were so much easier and I suppose I just need to look to the future and quit saying "before I got hurt" cuz that most definately doesn't help anything.
Anyway, I am glad to be running!! My weight is back down to where it was when I got hurt so that is a good thing also!! 10 more lbs to go though!! |
| | I ran this morning in SLC and am amazed at how elevation kicked my behind. I have ran at higher elevations but not for a few years and wasn't expecting the difference. Therefore, I made it 2.7 miles but I did run faster than I thought I had been running. I ran with my Garmin for the first time in months and I was running 8.9 and 9's. That made me happy! I thought for sure I was still running 10's. |
| | I got to run again without my daughter and the stroller. That was cool. I tried to push myself but didn't wear my Garmin so am not totally sure how fast (or slow) I was going. I felt very good and that always makes for a good run. Happy to be running!!!
|
| | I ran with my dad this morning so he pushed the stroller. It was funny to me when he felt the difference it makes pushing Anna. She is 30 lbs and even on the flat ground, thats an extra 30 lbs. We ran out to the LaVerkin stake center and back. We ran 9's or right around there. I enjoy running with him because he does push me to go faster. Good to be running!!! | |
| |
Again, I ran to the LaVerkin stake center and back. Anna was with me so I got to push the stroller today. I am feeling better when I run and that makes me happy. I really want to log some higher miles and I feel like I am ready to. Now I just need to find the time.
Happy to be running!!! |
| |
Today we slept in until 7:30, that is always nice. I pushed Anna again and we had a pretty good headwind the whole way out but the tail wind was great on the way back. Usually in Hurricane if you have a headwind even when you turn around you still have it. I decide to try some Powergel Blasts, I think that is what they are called anyway. The plan was to take 2 before the run (about 10 minutes before) and then at the half way point take another 2, pretty much to test how my belly was going to handle them. So I took 2 before I ran and burped the lemon taste the whole way so I didn't take the other 2. Next time I run, I will try something else to see what works best for me.
I was going to get up yesterday and try for a long run (8 or so), but I slept in. That means I have to do that this weekend being as I signed up for the Bryce Canyon 1/2 yesterday.
Happy to be running!!! (No knee pain what-so-ever, just need to work on my stamina some more. Pushing Anna is helping with that.) |
| |
Same route, again. Out to the LaVerkin Stake Center and back. Once again pushing Anna in the stroller. Since it has been getting warmer, when we turn around I have walked just through the church parking lot to drink some water. Until recently I havent done much with hydrtating when I run, but with this heat I defintaley need to. |
| | Today I only went 3 but felt great!! I was happy before when 3 felt like a piece of cake and I feel that way again. Even with the hills and pushing Anna, I just really felt good today. The plan was to do 4.5 again but when I got up and looked at the clock I realized I had hit the snooze to many times. Anyway, I tried a caramel powergel today. I took 1/2 about 5 minutes before I left and then the rest at about 1 mile. I think with only 3 miles, it wasn't a very good test of the stuff, but I want to get my stomache used to both those and to drinking more water. I will keep trying them and especially on the longer runs. I did get a bit of a side ache at 2.5 and that could have either been the water or the gel, I don't know. If anyone has in-site on how to use the stuff, I would be glad to hear. Thanks. Glad to be running again!! |
| | Today was a good run. I feel better every time I go. Again, I tried a powergel, this time a strawberry banana one. I took 1/2 ten minutes before going and then the other 1/2 at the turn around spot. I drank a bit of water both times also. No side ache today, I think I drank more water yesterday which could be why I got a side ache yesterday. My belly has handled the gel fine, so now with the 2 tests I will probably not use them until I do a longer run. I don't want to feel dependent on them or mentally think I am anyway. Happy to be running!!! |
| |
YEAH!!! I ran 8 for the first time in 2 whole months!!! I just combined my usual 3 and 5 milers to obviously make the 8. I did the first 3, then went back to my house where I had left some gel and water out front. I took a couple of sips of water with the gel and continued on my way.
My parents were home so the run was daughter and stroller free and I felt really, really good. Now I just need to do a 10 or more and I will be ready for the Bryce 1/2.
Happy to be running!!!!! |
| |
Again, the farthest I have ran in 2 months!!! YEAH!! I took advantage of my parents being home and got up early to run daughter and stroller free. I was going to run 4 out and 4 back, get some water and then do my usual 3 mile loop. Didn't work out that way. I felt really good at 4 and didn't want to turn around. I get sick of out and backs sometimes, so I kept going. There was a nice breeze so the temp felt good.
I did the run in 20 minutes faster than the first 10 miles I ever ran ( about 4 or so months ago, can't remember). Average pace was low 10's, slow but steady.
| | It was my day off today so we slept in until 7:30. Being as is was already warm and because I did the 10 yesterday, Anna and I went 3. I am so happy that running 3 feels so "easy" again. It was hard for me for deal with when I first started running again at doing 3 kicked my butt. I know that is how it works, but I didn't like it. Anyway, happy to be running!!! |
| |
Same course again, to the LaVerkin stake center and back. I feel alot better than when I started runing again and that is very encouraging. I remember the first time I ran this route and it killed me. Now I breathe so much better and just feel better.
Anna had fun this morning talking about the goats and we saw some baby lambs and they baa'd at her. She liked that.
Happy to be running!!! |
| | Same 4.5 again. Anna slept most of the way so we didn't talk about goats or horses or anything. I finally wore the same shoes I wore when I hurt my knee, I hadn't worn them in a couple of months. No reason really, just hadn't. Anyway, glad to be running again!! Hopefully I will get another long run in this weekend before the Bryce 1/2. |
| | I SLEPT IN TODAY, SO WE ONLY HAD TIME TO RUN 3. SAME OL, SAME OL 3 MILE LOOP. LOTS OF HILLS THAT MAKE ME FEEL STRONG AND I LOVE THAT. ANYWAY, HAPPY TO BE RUNNING!!! FEELING REALLY GOOD. IT IS HARD TO TELL WITH SUCH SHORT RUNS, BUT HAPPY TO BE DOING IT.
|
| |
After not running for 3 days, I was itchin to run really, really bad!! It was humid this morning but all in all the run was a good run with a little extra sweat cuz of the humidity. Thats always fun (if it doesn't get in your eyes).
Anna went with me this morning and as always, she had fun counting goats and looking at the animals. |
| |
Same run as yesterday. It was windy today, but not a headwind the whole way like normal in Hurricane. I did get some tail wind which was nice for a change.
I am feeling good and healthy. I want to start training, not just running, but not sure exactly how to go about that. If anyone reads this and has any input, I would love some advice.
Happy to be running!!! |
| |
We did the hilly route today. Anna likes going that way and we hadn't in awhile. I figured with the 1/2 this weekend I should probably go shorter anyway.
I have been wearing my Vasque trail running shoes the last few runs and today I wore my New Balance. The top of my foot felt weird when I got done, maybe I laced them to tight. I am not sure, either way not quite sure which ones to wear for the Bryce run.
Anyway, happy to be running. |
| | Race: |
Bryce Canyon Half (13.1 Miles) 02:09:35, Place overall: 210, Place in age division: 46
Beautiful coarse!!! Lots of downhill and I wore the wrong shoes. I felt alot better for the Hurricane 1/2 in may. Part of that could be elevation and part could be that I was in a bit better shape then. With the 5 weeks of not running and I just starting logging more than 15 miles a week.
Anyway, like I said, absolutely beautiful. The temp was wonderful at the start and not to bad at the finish also. All in all it was a great race. There were 1000 people, but it was never clarified on wether that was both the 5k and the half or just the half.
I was hoping to do about what I did but in the back of my mind thinkin 2:30, so I am happy with the results. As I got to the finish line, Anna was there, so i scooped her up and she finished with me. That was fun and she got a medal also.
Happy to be running!!!!
Good run, wrong shoes. Live and learn.
| |
I wasn't going to run today, but I had to see if my legs still work. They do. My calves are still pretty sore but while I was running, they didn't hurt at all. I did the hilly route and felt really good. I have my marathon training (mileage) planned out and getting excited about that!!
Happy to be running!! |
| | Ran to the LaVerkin stake center and back again. Had head wind both directions and that is always fun. Anna took her music player with us today so we had music to run with. I am noticing, I don't like running every other day, it seems harder to get going. All in all though, a good run and happy to be doing it!! |
| |
I am not sure if I have mentioned it before, but I don't like it when I don't run every day. I am sure for my body, taking days off is good. Probably more important if I were logging more miles. I just feel a bit sluggish when I take a day off.
Anyway, I ran without Anna and the stroller today. It felt weird not having her with me, but she needed some sleep.
Same out and back to the Laverkin stake center. It is a good run.
Happy to be doing it!!! (Sunday is a 14 miler - next week is 20, not necessarily looking forward to that) |
| |
YEAH!!!! That is the farthest I have ever ran!! I felt pretty good until the last 2 miles. I didn't hurt or anything, just juice levels dropped. It had gotten warmer by then. The sun did go behind a cloud shortly after that so at least the sun didn't kill me. I slowed down alot but I made it. I did have a pretty good hill with 1 mile left to go and that made my last mile 11 something, which I am actually still happy with at that point (hence the name I have kept, i.e. slowpoke).
My dad leap frogged me very 2 miles with gatorade and water, what an awesome dad!! I am sure that was the longest 2 hours of his life, and I was very grateful for his help.
That is the most I have every drank running, I took a sip or 2 of gatorade and a sip of water each time. I always thought I would get side aches, but I was thankful for the hydration today, and had no aches or pains.
I averaged 10:19's. The first 5 I kept under 10's, not by much but I did.
I am pretty sure when I ran 10, 3 weeks ago or so, I averaged 10:33's and that is quite ecnouraging.
Happy to be doing it. And I was confused, I don't up it to 20 for a few more weeks, thank goodness!!!
|
| |
Anna and I had a good run this morning. I wanted to push myself a bit, and I feel like I did run faster then normal. Usually I just run comfortably which for me is slow. This morning I kept hearing my dad's comment "Anyone can go out and run". I don't want to just go out and run, I would like to improve, so I am going to try to push myself. Starting with 3 miles at a time. I am going to start running with my Garmin most days so I can see if I am improving.
Happy to be doing it!!!! |
| |
It was quite windy again today. Windy enough that I almost turned around but am glad I didnt. Anna and I went to the LaVerkin stake center. I want to go faster so I tried to. My first mile was 9:33, second was 9:49 and third was 9:47. The fourth is all up hill but I kept it at 10:19 (I think).
Those times sure are pretty slow, but they are definatley faster than when I started all this, so that is progress, and I can be happy with that.
Happy to be running!!! |
| | Same 3 mile loop as always, pushing Anna in the stroller. I didn't want to wake up this morning so I only had time for 3. I felt really good though and actually don't mind the hills so much (when they are short ones). I know they are good for me. Glad to be doing it!!!! |
| |
Today was supposed to be a 16 miler. Didn't quite work out though. To start, I bought one of those hydration fanny pack things last night so that I wouldn't have to do loops by the house or ask anyone to leap frog me. I didn't check the size until I got home and if I had I wouldn't have bought it, but after trying it on I figured it could work. It felt fine for the first mile or so, but then it was sliding up and bouncing around. Because of the nylon shorts it wouldn't stay on my hips and on my waist it bounced even more.
Then at about 2 or so my left quad started hurting. At 3 I walked a few steps to get some water and when I started running again, my leg was more uncomfortable. At 3.5 I stopped for both the leg and water reasons and turned around and walked home. I did try running 2 times on the way home and my leg didn't feel to good. I hope I just slept weird or something. I came home and put some wintercrest on and will try tomorrow.
My long run is shot for the week though, no time to run to much until next weekend. That will mean a jump to 18 miles. I am keeping my fingers crossed. |
| |
BLAH!!! Wanted to do 3, only made it half that. My leg is really uncomfortable, and I don't want to hurt it worse. I am very frustrated. Every time I start feeling better and more comfortable with running and my weight, I get hurt. The last injury was definately worse, but this one is weird. It doesn't feel like a muscle, I have pulled my quad before and it isn't that. It feels like more on the inside of my leg. It is very hard to explain.
I go crazy not running, not sure what I will do. Probably try again in the next few days. Maybe some elevation and ice. |
| |
I decided to try running again this morning and made it about 10 steps. BLAH!!!!!!! It doesn't hurt just walking or moving around, but shortly after my first step, I knew I wasn't going far.
It is a weird injury. I can't even explain it. It is above my knee, but not my quad muscle, I have hurt that muscle before. It feels like the inside of my knee -- weird.
I have been exercising for about and hour at night and in the morning, just toning and weights and stuff. It doesn't hurt doing squats or any of the other exercises I do. Not good!!!! |
| |
2 miles walking with Anna in the stroller today. It was nice to get outside for some fresh air first thing in the morning. It has been to long since we have had that. We had fun talking about stuff we saw and words that rhyme.
In talking to my dad this weekend, we are starting to think that my injury this time is a stress fracture. Obviously neither of us are doctors, but he has experience and it does make sense.
Anyway, scratch the marathon this year and that makes me extremely sad. By next years though, I should be raring to go and will have more time to train. |
| | Walking again with Anna in the stroller. My leg was uncomfortable but not painful. I miss running and can hardly wait until I am injury free again. Hopefully for longer next time. | |
| |
Good run today to loosen up my legs. I hiked the West Rim Trail in Zion yesterday (14.4) miles. I am in better shape than I thought because only my feet and lower legs were sore, and not to sore.
I got up to run this morning, just to make sure I didn't get to sore. A bit tought to get going, but once I did, I felt great!!!
I have been running again for a few weeks. The first week, I ran ever other day (2 miles) and walked the other days. I think I did that for 2 weeks, then last week, I think I ran every day. Not 100% on that though.
|
| |
Same 3 as always. A good hilly run, hopefully helping me get stronger. I feel good and have no pain, so hopefully this time I can stay injury free for a long time!!!!! |
| |
Way windy and VERY cold this morning. Only crazy people run in weather like that. (Count me in on crazy).
Been getting up early to run while my daughter sleeps. It is getting to dark to early to go at night and it feels good to start the day off with a run.
Very stoked about running again. I am gonna ease into things this time. I am a bit scared about getting hurt again. |
| |
Not much changes in my running (still). Same 3 mile loop. Got a couple good hills (good, cuz they are short) but they are hills regardless.
No pain, feel good. Hope to stay injury free and up the miles soon!!!
Happy to be doing it!! |
| |
Out and back to the Laverkin stake center. I have only run this way one other time since I started running again (and can't remember which day that was for sure).
I felt good. |
| | Race: |
Spooktacular Fun Run (3.1 Miles) 00:24:40, Place overall: 2, Place in age division: 1
I have never won anything before at a run. I think I only beat one other person in my age division, but hey, that is cool. I was the 2nd woman by only about 10-20 seconds.
If it was a true 5k, I ran about a minute faster than the best time I had before. YEAH!!
It was a fun run, and good to have the family involved!!
| |
4, I think. I still haven't ran this route with my Garmin, but I know it is close to 4. Anyway, felt good and am feeling stronger. I try to push myself up the hills rather than slowing down, like I have done in the past. I hope I am improving and they don't seem to hurt as bad. That is good.
My dad ran the course from saturdays run and it was a bit short. I am still happy with my time though. |
| |
Up early to run this morning. Got up at 5:55 and headed out at 6. The plan was to go 6 or so to make sure I am ready for the 10k this weekend. I headed out to where I thought was close to 3, but when I got home my dad told me the turn around was 3.5. I drove it to make sure and it was. I should wear my garmin and I would know for sure, but my excuse today was I didn't wake up in time for it to calibrate or whatever it has to do before it works.
Anyway, I felt really good and it only took me a few minutes over an hour. That is right about 9's which I am very happy with at this point.
Happy to be at it again!!!!!!!!!!! |
| |
My hip was uncomfortable yesterday for some reason, so I thought running might hurt. It didn't though, YEAH!! I went the same 4 as always. I tried speeding up a block at a time today. I doubt that is considered speed work, but I hope things like that will help me get stronger and maybe even faster in the long run.
I am VERY happy to be out there again and running. |
| |
Had to get up and get the blood flowing today. People say you should take a day off, the day before a run, but I didn't. I feel way to groggy and yucky when I don't run.
Anyway, took it easy (like always). Same 3, couple of hills. Feel good.
Excited for Butch Cassidy tomorrow, but not looking forward to the late start. Oh well. |
| | Race: |
Butch Cassidy (6.2 Miles) 00:54:35, Place overall: 46, Place in age division: 16
Today was a great run. The only complaint I have is it got way hot, way fast and I was more prepared for the cold. Thank goodness I didn't run in a long sleeved shirt.
There were a couple good hills and I had to give in and walk 30 steps on the first one. I walked pretty close to the top of it cuz I ran out of juice.
Anyway, it was beautiful and I was happy to do it. I run it 2 minutes faster thatn my last 10k which makes me very, very happy.
| |
| |
I have decided that I want to get better, not just run, so the last few runs, I have tried pushing myself a bit more. Today, the plan was to up my pace a couple of blocks at a time. I felt so good after the first couple blocks that I kept a good steady (faster) pace for the first couple of miles. Even on the hills. I have never done that. Then I slowed down for a few blocks and up'd the pace again for the rest of the run. I felt great and will definately keep doing that.
I should have worn my garmin today but that is just another shoulda, woulda, coulda thing.
Anyway, it was a much faster run than normal, and i enjoyed it tons!!!
Happy to be out there again!!! |
| |
I pushed Anna today, for the first time in awhile. That is always harder, but a good workout. There was a pretty good head wind after I turned around which made it pretty windy the whole way home. It kicked my butt. (Pathetic for a 4 mile run, I know.)
Anyway, out to the Laverkin Stake Center and back. It was a good run.
|
| |
Same 7 as last week. It was chilly this morning and a bit windy. I felt a bit slow today and didnt' feel like I had much juice. Although, when I got home it hadn't taken me much longer than last week.
Glad to be running!!! |
| | Up and ran with my dad this morning, who runs faster than I do. I am fairly certain he slowed a bit for me, but we still ran faster than I normally do. It felt good to up the pace a little. Good run, a little breezy a few times, but all in all, great to be outside and doing it!!! |
| | Race: |
Phoenix Pioneer Run (3.1 Miles) 00:26:09, Place overall: 95, Place in age division: 2 | | Nice overcast morning today. We are in Oregon this weekend and my brother found us a run to do. There was a good turn out and they said it was the longest running local run. There were a lot of High School people and alot of records set also. My brother ran the 9 miler and started 1/2 hour before me, but we finished together. He could have beat me and should have to have gotten a better time, but he waited for me to let me win. That was fun. He is alot faster than me so there is no way we would have ever finished together. It was a good run |
| |
The plan was to go on a longer run this morning, but I slept in. I returned home from Oregon yesterday and after getting up earlier the last few days, didnt want to get up.
Same 3 as usual. Felt good and will hopefully get a longer one tomorrow. |
| |
I slept in again today and only had time to run 3. When I got home my right thigh started feeling weird. Again, no pain, but uncomfortable. I dont think I am meant to be a runner and that is frustrating!!! I love to run, but I am definatley doing something wrong, or something. I wish I knew.
I have to work pretty early tomorrow, so no running tomomorrow. I will see what happens on thursday.
|
| |
I have been way to lazy the last week and it felt so good to get up and run again. I felt a bit groggy because it had been so long since I last ran.
Same 3 as always. | |
| |
16 mile hike in Zion today. We did the East Rim with and added Cable Mountain. It was a great hike, great weather with a great friend.
|
| | I was hoping my leg felt better today, so I tried again. The weird thing is it doesn't hurt when I am running, but now, 4 hours later, it is uncomfortable. Very weird. I will try again sometime. Blah!! |
| | Walking with my mom. Good walk and it loosened my leg up a bit. |
| |
I was going to walk and run today, but i only walked. I am extrememly sick of being injured. I am just a pea-on runner and always thought it was good runners that log alot of miles that get hurt. obviously that was the wrong perception. Oh well.
My leg did feel great and loose and stuff after the first mile. We will see what happens next week. |
| | Walking 2 miles with 200 lunges mixed in there. Felt good. |
| |
I decided to try it again today and felt great. No pain, no discomfort. The last few days I have been walking and doing lunges and hopefully strengthening my legs a bit more. I am hoping, very much, that that was the problem with me getting injured every month.
Last time I ran my leg felt ok while running, but 4 hours later it was hurting. Today, it has been 6 already and I still feel great. Hopefully I will be good. I think I will continue with the lunges and walking every other day. Maybe this time I can stay un-injured!!!! Wouldn't that be great!!!!! |
| | 2 miles walking with 200 lunges. Very uneventful. Trying to strengthen my mucles. Hopefully I can stay injury free. |
| | Wanted to run today, but I have a pretty good hike tomorrow, so I walked with 200 lunges. |
| |
I needed to loosten my legs up a bit from saturdays hike and I felt good from the start, so I went 4. I havent ran over 3 in awhile and am very happy to have done it.
I hope the lunges have been strengthening my legs and hopefully I will be injury free for a long, long time!!!
Happy to be out there doig it!! |
| |
3 miles of running with 200 lunges. It was way to windy yesterday to go outside and do anything, so mixed it up today. Felt good. It was absolutely freezing and I ran in shorts, otherwise I probably would have gone 4.
Happy to be out there!!! |
| | 2 miles of walking with 200 lunges. Pretty uneventful. Feels good to get up and do somethng to start the day. | |
| |
Up early and ran with the papa. It is always fun to run with someone else. Again, uneventful. Imagine that. Same 4 as usual, my gut wasn't quite right and I didnt want to go to far from home in case I needed a bathroom.
Happy to be running again. Leg feels good. |
| | 2 miles of walking with 200 lunges. Feels great to start each day with a bit of exercise!! |
| |
It is cold in the desert today!!! Up to run at 6:30 and wore pants for the first time. Same 4 as usual. Not much variation. Hopefully if I can brave the cold I will get a longer run in this week. I am starting to feel stronger and no pain in the leg. Lunges could be helping.
|
| |
2 miles of walking with 200 lunges. I wanted to run today but kept with the schedule of lunges and walking mixed with the running. It was to snowy and icy yesterday morning to go out.
Like I have said before, hopefully it will make me stronger and keep me injury free!!!! |
| |
Up early to run with my dad. We went out to the LaVerkin stake center. There were a few patches of ice, but nothing to bad.
It feels good to run with my dad, he pushes me a bit.
|
| | 3 miles of walking with 200 lunges. Hopefuly I will get up and get a good run in tomorrow. We will see. |
| |
Yeah!! I haven't ran over 4ish since November 1st or something. I felt good most of the way, except for a slight side ache that had me walking for a few steps. After that I just controlled my breathing a bit better and kept on.
Good run and good weather and I was back home in under an hour. (Not bad for me).
Happy to be out there and there is no better way to start the day, or week, then with a run.
| | 2 miles of walking with 200 lunges, again. After yesterdays run I feel like they are definately helping. |
| | Up early to get a run in. Same 4, again. Felt good and enjoyed being out there. It was a bit warmer with the overcast skies. |
| | 2 miles of walking with lunges. It was chilly today, but I survived. That is one good thing about lunges, you warm up quickly. |
| | The same 7 as last time. After sleeping half the day yesterday, I figured I could use a better run than just 3 miles. Not that 7 is a whole heck of alot more. Took it slow, again after a very lazy day, that is all I had in me. Feeling good and stronger. |
| | 3 miles of walking with 200 lunges. I thought about increasing the lunges today, but did not. It was freezing out there, but felt good getting out and doing something. |

Same 4 again. I set my alarm to go early today but slept in anyway. Thank goodness becuase it was still pretty cold when I went at 9.
Glad to be able to get up and go though. I always feel better after a run, even the short ones I do. |

2 miles of walking today with 200 lunges.
Then about a 12 mile hike in Zion with my dad and friend. The hiking zion map said 16, but we all believed it was shorter. We did some boulder hopping and crossed a river a few times. It was a great day and the weather was beautiful. |

3 miles as quick as I can do them, had to get to St. george and ready for the long drive tomorrow. Always good to get up and run. |
