I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

This is the farthest I have ever ran!!!!!  By 2 miles even.  I felt really good, but the last mile kinda killed me, but I kept going.  I am quite proud of that.  I got my Garmin back and I am running about what I thought I was, I averaged around 10.5 and 11 minute miles.  That is slow, I know, but I hope to get faster and that will come eventually.  

My leg felt good.  No problems there, and that is good also.

The plan was to go 8 but the wind was INSANE and so I didn't make it to far.  I will go farther another day.  Went home and did some weights.

I AM WAY HAPPY TO HAVE RUN AGAIN TODAY.  I HATE IT WHEN I CAN'T.  I WENT UP A BIG HILL AT 7 MILES AND THAT WAS PRETTY STUPID CUZ THE PLAN WAS TO GO 10, BUT I COULDN'T AFTER THAT.  OH WELL.  I WILL GET ANOTHER 10 MILER IN NEXT WEEK.

I finished and I felt good.  That is all that matters.  I am slow.  I have said it before and probably will again, but at least I am running.  I am happy with that for now.

I felt good today and I even took one whole minute off my time from the first time I ran 10 miles.  What a defeat!! 

I am enjoying running again and I quite glad I am doing it.  Slowly but surely I will be ready for a 1/2 soon.

I only had time for 3 this morning and I didn't take my garmin so I am not sure of the time.  I tried to push it because I was doing such a short run, and I felt like I did, I am just not sure how much.

45 minutes on the elliptical.  I would have rather been running but at least I got to exercise

1 hour on the elliptical.  I enjoyed it more today, I did a program so it was better. Should have checked how far it said I went but I forgot.

Again elliptical and again didn't see how far I went.  I did it for about 45 minutes then did weights.

45 minutes on the elliptical. I am enjoying the elliptical more now than the first day I did, but I can't wait to get back outdoors to running.

Elliptical again, 45 minutes again and then weights.  I go home today so tomorrow I get to run again.  YEAH!!

It felt great to be outside today and running again.  All last week I was working out inside on the elliptical, and I don't enjoy exercising indoors as much as outdoors.  Anyway, felt good and loved being outdoors again.

Today was the first time that I ran in the afternoon.  It was warm but it felt good.  I wish I would have had time for more, but then, at least I got to run the 4.  My leg sooms to be much better.  The week I took off last week, from running, seems to have done some good.

It took my about 3 miles to warm up today, which I don't understand, but once i hit 3 I felt really good.  I took 2 whole minutes off my time from monday on the same route which is always a good thing.  It is warming up and I love the weather.
