Today was a great run. The only complaint I have is it got way hot, way fast and I was more prepared for the cold. Thank goodness I didn't run in a long sleeved shirt.
There were a couple good hills and I had to give in and walk 30 steps on the first one. I walked pretty close to the top of it cuz I ran out of juice.
Anyway, it was beautiful and I was happy to do it. I run it 2 minutes faster thatn my last 10k which makes me very, very happy.

I have decided that I want to get better, not just run, so the last few runs, I have tried pushing myself a bit more. Today, the plan was to up my pace a couple of blocks at a time. I felt so good after the first couple blocks that I kept a good steady (faster) pace for the first couple of miles. Even on the hills. I have never done that. Then I slowed down for a few blocks and up'd the pace again for the rest of the run. I felt great and will definately keep doing that.
I should have worn my garmin today but that is just another shoulda, woulda, coulda thing.
Anyway, it was a much faster run than normal, and i enjoyed it tons!!!

I pushed Anna today, for the first time in awhile. That is always harder, but a good workout. There was a pretty good head wind after I turned around which made it pretty windy the whole way home. It kicked my butt. (Pathetic for a 4 mile run, I know.)
Anyway, out to the Laverkin Stake Center and back. It was a good run.

Same 7 as last week. It was chilly this morning and a bit windy. I felt a bit slow today and didnt' feel like I had much juice. Although, when I got home it hadn't taken me much longer than last week.

| | Up and ran with my dad this morning, who runs faster than I do. I am fairly certain he slowed a bit for me, but we still ran faster than I normally do. It felt good to up the pace a little. Good run, a little breezy a few times, but all in all, great to be outside and doing it!!! | | Add Comment |

Phoenix Pioneer Run (3.1 Miles) 00:26:09, Place overall: 95, Place in age division: 2 | | Nice overcast morning today. We are in Oregon this weekend and my brother found us a run to do. There was a good turn out and they said it was the longest running local run. There were a lot of High School people and alot of records set also. My brother ran the 9 miler and started 1/2 hour before me, but we finished together. He could have beat me and should have to have gotten a better time, but he waited for me to let me win. That was fun. He is alot faster than me so there is no way we would have ever finished together. It was a good run | | Add Comment |

The plan was to go on a longer run this morning, but I slept in. I returned home from Oregon yesterday and after getting up earlier the last few days, didnt want to get up.

I slept in again today and only had time to run 3. When I got home my right thigh started feeling weird. Again, no pain, but uncomfortable. I dont think I am meant to be a runner and that is frustrating!!! I love to run, but I am definatley doing something wrong, or something. I wish I knew.
I have to work pretty early tomorrow, so no running tomomorrow. I will see what happens on thursday.

I have been way to lazy the last week and it felt so good to get up and run again. I felt a bit groggy because it had been so long since I last ran.

16 mile hike in Zion today. We did the East Rim with and added Cable Mountain. It was a great hike, great weather with a great friend.

| | I was hoping my leg felt better today, so I tried again. The weird thing is it doesn't hurt when I am running, but now, 4 hours later, it is uncomfortable. Very weird. I will try again sometime. Blah!! | | Add Comment |

I was going to walk and run today, but i only walked. I am extrememly sick of being injured. I am just a pea-on runner and always thought it was good runners that log alot of miles that get hurt. obviously that was the wrong perception. Oh well.
My leg did feel great and loose and stuff after the first mile. We will see what happens next week. | | Add Comment |
