Running Accomplishments:

I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

I ran this morning in SLC and am amazed at how elevation kicked my behind.  I have ran at higher elevations but not for a few years and wasn't expecting the difference.  Therefore, I made it 2.7 miles but I did run faster than I thought I had been running.  

I ran with my Garmin for the first time in months and I was running 8.9 and 9's.  That made me happy!  I thought for sure I was still running 10's.

I got to run again without my daughter and the stroller.  That was cool.  I tried to push myself but didn't wear my Garmin so am not totally sure how fast (or slow) I was going.  I felt very good and that always makes for a good run.

I ran with my dad this morning so he pushed the stroller.  It was funny to me when he felt the difference it makes pushing Anna.  She is 30 lbs and even on the flat ground, thats an extra 30 lbs.  We ran out to the LaVerkin stake center and back.  We ran 9's or right around there.  I enjoy running with him because he does push me to go faster.  Good to be running!!!

Again, I ran to the LaVerkin stake center and back.  Anna was with me so I got to push the stroller today.  I am feeling better when I run and that makes me happy.  I really want to log some higher miles and I feel like I am ready to.  Now I just need to find the time.
