I'm new to running scene.  My father, brother and brother-in-law have all ran marathons, so I thought I'd give running a try.

Coming off an injury (Excuses, Excuses!!)

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get some 5K's, 10K's and a few half marathons under my belt. Stay injury free to run the 2009 St. George Marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

2009 STG Marathon!!!!!!!!!!

Personal:

 1 daughter who want to be a runner.  She wants to be fast like her  uncle and grandpa, not slow like her mom.

Pushed Anna in the stroller.  The 3 mile route I do is getting easier, YEAH!!!  It is pretty hilly and it is a good workout.  I can actually breathe now though when I run it, not good, but when I first started running again, I could barely breathe.  

My knee is great.  I am a true believer in pro-lo therapy, and happy I tried it.

Happy to be running!!

Same 3 as always.  Pushed Anna in the stroller.  It is getting warm, even with running at 7 am, it is warm.  Summer is definately here.

Same 3 again, pushing Anna in the stroller.  We have been getting up and running at 7 and it has already been warm.  That is one good thing about only having time for 3, it doesn't take that long to run it. 

Eventually we may have to start getting up earlier.  Am I a bad mom if I wake my daughter up at 6:30 so I can run??

Same 3 again, pushing Anna in the stroller.  I was thinking as I was running today that there is no way I will be ready for the marathon.  Especially because I am only running 3 a day still.  That is depressing.  I know if I really put my mind to it I can, so we will see how I do with that.

I ran 5 today without pushing my daughter.  It feels weird when I don't have her with me.  I felt ok, although I completely ran out of juice the last mile.  I walked about 20 or 30 steps somewhere about 4.5 but then I started going again.  The last mile or so is a steady up hill, I know they are good for me but I don't like them.  Before I got hurt they were so much easier and I suppose I just need to look to the future and quit saying "before I got hurt" cuz that most definately doesn't help anything. 

Anyway, I am glad to be running!!  My weight is back down to where it was when I got hurt so that is a good thing also!!  10 more lbs to go though!!
