| | Okay - I got the flu...very terrible...last week. Then I had shin issues on my right foot - so now after 6 days off from running I went out this morning. Felt great, but was starting to feel my shin so I walked the last three quarters of a mile. So technically I only ran 3.25 ish of the four, but put four miles on my shoes so I am going to count it for now. Hope my shin continues to heal. Lots of dixie cups of ice to rub on it. We take off for Spokane tomorrow and then Canada for a week. Really hoping to log some miles in the next few weeks!

| | Ran in Spokane - stomach is really acting up as is the shin. I will take tomorrow as a rest day (trying to ease this dang shin back into running) and hopefully my belly will be better by then as well. We are in Pentictan BC now with Clark and family - so nice...

| | Trying hard not to be frustrated --- my right shin is killing me. I was able to run 1.5 without issue, but then my shin began its pain....finished at Skaha Lake here in BC so Clark, Jill, Rex and I were able to strip our socks and shoes to get into the lake, nice beach sand, which does not seem to help my shin (uneven ground). Well, I start another graduate class today - so I shall ice lots, then have more beach time in the late afternoon/evening. Hopefully I can play, but sitting in the sunshine on the beach isn't too bad either.

| | Shin doing better...just didn't want to push it. Ice every two hours or so seems to help

| | Ran two then walked a mile with Chrissy - long day of driving ahead - just needed to shake it out. No shin issues. So ready to get those miles back up there -- hard to move forward with caution

| | Tried out a longer run today. My knees and shin held up great. I was slow coming back (9:20 average pace for the second half...8:50 pace for the first half)...but I will take it for sure!

| | Drove over to run Sunnyside with Alana - so good to catch up and run with her. I felt I was not hydrated at all - struggled on this run, but we still kept it under 9 for the average pace (8:5 ish )

| | Whew---glad Rex was with me. Struggled at the end of the run. Last two miles I had to stop and stretch out my right leg - i-t band issue?? not sure where that came from - possibly my hill run on Thursday - gets me every time. Over all happy girl to be running

| | Whew, nice and slow 8:50 pace for three miles. I was nervous b/c the back of my right leg was sore yesterday as well as my shin, ankle...and so much more. BUT the shake out run was worthy
