| | Nice 10 mile run to the Dixie Center and then up to the Post Office, Bloomington Hills trail to home. 8:17 pace----felt like I was running harder than that! Trying to take it easy on my left ankle.....pain....go away!

| | Short run over to help someone move. Was so beat up after the move I couldn't run. Easy week.......I can't remember when I ran so little since I started running. I guess this is the start of resting the body from a long hard 16 months of running! |

| | Nice cold and wet run in the rain. Went over to the Dixie Center then past St. George Ford and in to Bloomington, then turned right onto Bloomington Drive to home. Actually wasn't too bad. 8:03 average pace. Thought the I would get out and do more than 11 miles this week.......man was I lazy!

| | Same run as last night. Started at 7pm....cold. started out slow with 8:21 then pushed it harder to the finish. 7:25/ 7:12/ 7:30 average of 7:38 Overall a little slower than last night but I felt better about this run because I warmed up a little slower and felt stronger than last night to the finish. |

Nice cold run this morning. I waited till it got up to 25 before I headed out. I ran into town and got a bread stick at Judd's Store then back home. It actually felt cold the closer I got to home....glad that is done. 8:43 pace
Evening: Decided to go out on the club run at 4:50. I took off from the Bloomington Path and ran towards the Dixie Center. I caught up with the guys at the 2 mile mark...perfect. Turned around and ran with them back to the trail head. Total of 4 miles @ 7:18 pace. warmed up 7:23 then 7:14/ 7:29/ 7:14 A little fast for me but it actually felt pretty good. 4 miles was plenty for me tonight with doing the longer one earlier.

| | I wasn't planning on running today because I had plans. They changed. It snowed and I decided to not run then, what the heck, out I went. It was snowing pretty good for the first 3 1/2 miles then it stopped. Not too bad except when I would suck in a big flake in the nose.... I am glad I got out and had a fun non stressful run in the cold and wet. Looking at my splits they were actually pretty good for the conditions: 8:09/ 8:04/ 7:32/ 7:58/ 8:13/ 7:49/ 7:53/ 8:09/ 8:03/ 7:20/ 6:30 7:55 average I stepped it up the last 2 miles wanting a strong close to the run.....great close for me!

| | 2 mile slow jog to the Bloomington market. I was locked out of the house and killed some time going up there to get a crispy beam burrito and a cherry empanada. |

| | DC loop. I tried to keep a pretty even pace until the last .4 and pushed it hard. There was gusty winds that kept changing directions and had to dodge the sage brush as it was cruising down the path...fun!!

Same run as Thursday. 30 degrees when I went out and 32 when I was done 7:40 average pace. I can sure feel the Christmas feasting (additional weight) when running.
8:27 warm up/ 8:26/ 7:41/ 7:51/ 6:57/ 5:57 I had to push it hard at the end to get my average pace down to somewhat respectable.

Went this afternoon and ran the Bloomington Loop.Kind of pushed this run a bit. 7:44 warm up- slight up hill/ 7:11 continued slight up hill/ 6:59/ 6:32 average pace of 7:12
Felt pretty good. Wanted to have a positive run on the loop in preparation for Painter's Half next month. I plan on running a lot on the painter's course in the next 4 weeks. I want to have a great race. I am trying to get used to my Saucony's to see if I can get a half marathon out of them without killing my feet.

| | I started at the Dixie Center and ran the first 6 1/4 miles of the painter's course and then turned back to the DC. I felt like this was a recovery run.....legs not cooperating today like I wanted them to. I was going to run the whole 13.1 but decided to bag it and not push the tired legs in the cold. 8:10/ 7:51/ 7:21/ 7:41/ 8:05/ 6:54/ 6:58 7:38 average I have decided that my goal time for Painter's is going to be 1:34:59. I then want to work towards a sub 1:30 at HobbleCreek in August. As far as marathon goals I am going to run Ogden and St. George. The goal is 3:25 for Ogden and 3:15 for St. George. I would like to run a sub 20:00 5k and a sub 42:00 10k. Those goals should push me pretty good this year. I am going to cut back on the miles this coming year. I haven't looked at it yet but probably around 1800 miles instead of 2200.

Ran from the Dixie Center and did the last 7 miles of the Painter's course 7:43 average pace. 7:39/ 7:35/ 8:00/ 7:33/ 7:45/ 7:46/ 7:43/ 7:26
The legs were a bit heavy so I just tried to go with the body and be consistent.
