Back to the gym for a real easy 6. Don't want to rush recovery.

Nice job. Take it easy and don't kill yourself. Are you in the Slam this year?

Very smart on the easy recovery. When is the next slam race?
From RivertonPaul on Wed, Jun 17, 2009 at 16:34:07 from 67.42.27.114
Rhett, next slam marathon is Park City August 22.

You should have plenty of time to ramp up for that one, but that is not a PR course, so are you just going to use that as a long training run for SGM or are you going to go for it?
From RivertonPaul on Wed, Jun 17, 2009 at 16:57:43 from 67.42.27.114
Park City is definately just a training run. The altitude, elevation changes, etc. all kill a good time. If my recovery goes well, I may do DesNews on July 24th (I've done it every year since 2003 which was my first marathon).
Top of Utah is very good, especially if you get a tail wind in the canyon (unlike last year).

Des News is rough and long to recover from though..

Yes, Steve, I'm torn between trying to support DesNew so that it doesn't completely fold and go away (especially since it has such fair to poor management of the marathon).

Nice in easy recovery??? You?? Your a animal. Great job man. That first week after the a race is always the hardest to keep it nice and easy.

Easy is nice. Glad you're recovering smart. I've done DesNews the last two years. The organization was a little bit better last year. It is a quad killer though. See you at Park City.
