I tried to play it smart this morning and just did a 2 mile TM walk then some core work. I finished off with some stretching and while stretching my right calf felt a little pain. Now it hurts a bit. I think it is one of those things that will feel fine by tomorrow, but really? I have done all this sprint training to get ready for the soccer this weekend and have had no problems and then today after a walk and some light stretching I have a niggle. That just seems to be how my athletic life has gone the last decade. Fingers crossed that it feels better by tomorrow night.
I went to the alumni soccer event and had a blast. My calf held up and I played rather well. It was good to see a few old teammates and it was great to play again. I think I'll try and go again next year. We played for a couple hours. My legs and lungs were shot be the end.
