After a day of playing on the beach with my boys, I spent about an hour in the resort's gym using the elliptical and jumping rope. Felt good to workout.

I think everything is conspiring against me to run the Big Bear Marathon. My leg just won't heal up since Lotoja (something weird in the back of my knee) and now I came home from Panama with a terrible cold. It will be a miracle if I'm able to run the marathon but I'm still trying. Even with the cold I tried to run on the TM this morning but the leg thing said no so I walked for a mile and a half and jumped rope for 20 minutes.

TM walking and 20 minutes of jumping rope.  My leg felt really good this morning.  I may give running a go tomorrow pending on how it feels.  4 weeks until Big Bear.  It's not looking good but there is still I chance I can run it.  Fingers crossed.

I tried to do a little jog during my warm up this morning, but I could tell it was not going to end well so I went back to walking, then I did lower body and core work. I do feel like my leg has imporved a lot in the last few days, but who knows how much longer it will be until I can run on it?  I never thought I would hurt my leg biking, but I sure did something to it that just doesn't want to heal.

seeing improvement in my leg issue. Since there is no rush now that I've thrown in the towel on Big Bear, I'm patiently waiting fir my leg to be 100% before I start running again.

Out of town today so no workout but I did my stretches and strength exercises that the PT gave me yesterday after working on my leg. She did some scraping and boy does it feel a million times better!!! I'm totally excited that I may be able to run soon. She said not to run until I see her again though which isn't for 2 weeks.
