| Tried swimming again. I swam for an hour again. It felt harder this time. I think it's because I quit counting laps and just went by the clock. I ordered a finger lap counter last night because for the life of me I can't keep track of what lap I'm on. I also ordered some Jammers. |

Did some speedwork on the treadmill this morning. I've never spent much time with the treadmill on 10mph. I devised a 10X10X10X.25 workout where I warmed up and then ran .25 at 10mph and then .25 at 10min/mi alternating 10 times. I thought I was going to barf. To think that real runners can keep a 6min pace for a marathon is incredible.
2.5 easy miles in the afternoon in my jeans. Tired of sitting all day! |

| Ran from Rainbow Gardens south on the shoreline trail. Intended to do 8 miles RT, but didn't know where that would take me. Ended up running up Waterfall Canyon to the falls. Cool and beautiful. Leaves coating the ground like an autumn carpet! Ice on the falls. Great escape! |

Went swimming with my new jammer swimming suit and fancy ring lap counter (very fun). Swam 2 miles. 1st mile in 33 minutes. Average pace 1:07. Not very fast, but I'm working on it.
It was so warm before this supposed storm that I decided to ride my bike to work. Averaged 20mph for 22 miles and then cooled down for 1 mile.
It is a day of thanks. Every time I think of it I am giving thanks to Heavenly Father for protecting me today when I was so stupid I turned left at a light in front of an oncoming car. It could have been disastrous, but he put on his brakes and skidded while I rode away safe. Very close and I am grateful today for His protection even when I do things that are stupid.
Now I have to work. Bummer.
I signed up for the St. George Ironman on Tuesday. If anyone knows of a good triatholon training blog, please let me know. I need something that allows for tracking the multiple sports. |

| Progressive run with Nathan at the Gym on the TM. Felt strong, but having some trouble with my heel. Woke up a few nights ago and first step out of bed was painful on my heel. Getting slowly better. It was weird. Nothing led up to it. Never hurt while running or before I went to bed. |

| Went swimming in the morning. Just 1/2 mile, but spent about an hour just focusing on form. At lunch, I checked out the Golds Gym in Ogden. Really nice facility. Ran 1 on the treadmill (every single one has a TV on it) and then 2.1 on the track. Then I jumped in the pool for a few laps. I left work a little early and caught a bike ride with Lisa for 18 miles. This is the first day (accidentally) that I've done all three disciplines on the same day and it's funny, but I think you could call it a cumulative Sprint tri. |

| Lisa and I took a glorious tandem 63 mile ride from the gas station in Mtn. Green along the back of the Wasatch mountains up to Morgan, then up East Canyon and around the reservoir and the resort to where the road up to Big Mtn is closed. Then we turned around and rode back about 5 miles and turned up and climbed the Hogsback. On our descent we hit 50mph (ugghh...) then went back down East Canyon and along the East side of the valley and back to the Sinclair. We love riding together and even though it got chilly and dark towards the end it was very fun. |

| Ran 10.5 miles at a 7:46 average pace on a sunny Thanksgiving morning. A tough run on the heels of yesterday's long ride. But I was glad with the overall result. Then I played ultimate Frisbee with the family after Thanksgiving lunch. A very fun day.

| Bought some new Brooks Launch shoes on Black Friday. The running store (Striders) is the only place I went. Nathan and I went to the gym in the afternoon and Nathan challenged himself to try a six minute mile, which he did! He was awesome. Great looking stride. I treated to hot chocolate after the run. 7 easy miles for me.
