Do you have to taper at all for a half? I have not run one in a year and I just can not figure out what to do. I am inexperienced!!!!

Kelli, if I didn't have the marathon coming up I would taper a bit more than I will (and not do the 22 miler I have planned for Saturday). As for the taper, I just follow Paul's advice to run everyday (no days off) but take it a bit easy the 2-3 days before. Easy days on W, R, F before the race, but be sure to throw in some strides each day to keep the turnover. One of those days will probably be water running for me, to help recover from the long run. looking forward to seeing you guys soon!

I agree with the no days off for sure, I just get sore and very grumpy!! Thanks, see you soon!
