Are you using Tinman's stuff based on flat 5k pace? Or do you make an adjustment for the course? I almost never run 5ks so it is difficult for me to know my 5k pace. I hope to do more as I transition back from pool running.

Paul, I just have the chart from the Tinman web site, I assume it is for a fairly flat course, though most of the 5Ks I have done have had some hills, and all have been loops (no downhills). I ran a couple 17:45 5Ks last fall but am now back around 18:00-18:45. I am doing another for fun tomorrow, school fundraiser. I am kind of experimenting with running lots of short races as part of training, we will see if it pays off or not. Look forward to seeing you out of the pool soon!!
