6 on my ailing treadmill while watching the mighty Wisconsin badgers earn a rose bowl berth. And Al Toon's son Nick scored two receiving touchdowns, he was looking good.

Rob, yes, I grew up in Madison and my family still lives there, I am a pretty die hard badger and packer fan. Badgers are awful good this year, too bad they lost to MSU or they would be playing for the national championship. well, maybe next year...

Cool. My wife is from a little town called Pine River Minnesota. Our son Andy was born in Wisconsin - we adopted him in 2005. Not long after we met Andy for the first time, and were in the process of working on a complicated inter-state adoption, Ann and I took a drive up the St. Croix River to talk about it.It was a really stressful time. We found this little tavern and it turns out Wisconsin was playing Minnesota that day. The bar was packed with Badger fans for some reason (it was on the Minnesora side of the river). Anyway, I think Minnesota was up something like 28-6, but Wisconsin came back and won.We had a great time that day with some really fun people. I've been a casual Wisconsin fan ever since.

Rob, that's neat, and glad the adoption worked out well. those little upper midwest taverns are a great place to meet fun people, I've shot many a game of pool in little taverns like that, near my dad's cabin in the baraboo hills.
have you ever canoed in the boundary waters or quetico? that is pretty close to where your wife lives I think.., we used to go to Quetico every summer for two week canoe camping adventures. I've also canoed stretches of the St Croix, and other rivers up there. Northern Wisconsin and Minnesota are awesome for canoeing!

Nice you have something to watch---although football AND a TM sound like more of a nightmare to me!
