dang, I appear to be in the early stages of a cold, I can only hope it runs its course by Saturday and doesn't go to my chest or I will be in trouble. but what can you do?

did some tempo/threshold intervals on the track with 200 recoveries:
1x400 1:25
1x800 2:59
1x1200 4:48
1x1600 6:24
1x800 3:10
1x400 (fast) 1:20.

will pound the emergenC tonight and hope for the best.

Beat that cold!

Speedy. Get healthy.

thanks guys. I figure I can shake this thing in five days. maybe it is for the best to get it out of the way! I haven't had a cold in 3+ years so I guess I was overdue. wish it had waited one more week though.

shoot. feel better.

Good luck with the cold... Does the EmergenC really work?

From Paul on Tue, Sep 14, 2010 at 14:57:18 from 65.103.252.214

I think Emergen-C works pretty well. Best of luck holding off the cold.

What time are you going for this year?

From Scott Ensign on Tue, Sep 14, 2010 at 19:38:05 from 67.40.114.86

Jason, I don't know. there is alot of controversy about whether high doses of vitamin C really help with colds, and mixed data. But I am willing to try it out, it certainly can't hurt, and Paul gets really good results with it so maybe it does help (which is why I am pounding it right now, three to four doses a day).

Paul- thanks, and I am putting my faith in emergen C! my time..as fast as my health and ailing body will carry me. If I can shake this cold I think I can hit 2:55. But if it lingers it might be tough. Will be fun either way. I guess.

Maybe we can hook up as a pack during the race. Dave and I are going for a similar time as you.

From Jason McK on Wed, Sep 15, 2010 at 12:02:43 from 63.255.173.99

I think that makes 4 or 5 of us, if you'll let me in the pack. I'm pretty sure that allie is thinking about the same time goal. I'm not sure how long I would hang with you, but I'm feeling it...

From Paul on Wed, Sep 15, 2010 at 12:19:50 from 65.103.252.214

Jason, based on your TOU Half, I think it's a very realistic goal. Let's plan on it.

From Burt on Wed, Sep 15, 2010 at 12:25:10 from 206.19.214.144

Whoa, whoa, whoa Paul. We don't let just anyone in the pack. There's a hazing ritual that you Jason will have to go through first.

From Paul on Wed, Sep 15, 2010 at 12:45:49 from 65.103.252.214

Anyone can be in the pack, unless their name is "Burt".

From Burt on Wed, Sep 15, 2010 at 12:52:21 from 206.19.214.144

Dang it! I'll tell Mr. Reynolds he's out.

From Scott Ensign on Thu, Sep 16, 2010 at 01:00:48 from 67.40.114.86

Paul- maybe we should all wear green bay t-shirts if we are going to form a pack. and the pack is back by the way, cant wait to take on the vikings!! oh, the marathon, yeah, I will look for your pack!!
