taught chemistry 1210 at 8:30 AM. in the engineering building a half mile away. because campus scheduling doesn't think chemistry classes should be taught in the chemistry classrooms. in fact, they don't really care what department or building you are in when they schedule classes.

10:30 AM, went to teach chemistry 5700 in my nornal classroom I have had for 10 years. found no one there. they switched my class to... the engineering building. a half mile away. So I traipsed back over, getting some VO2max miles I won't count. Fortunately I show up twenty minutes early to all my classes so was still able to start on time. Maybe I will move my office to engineering.

noon- finally got out and ran from work to the single track of river trail and back. the sun was out as I went out the door. then the clouds came in. with three miles to go back to campus the heavens unleashed hell and fury on me, perhaps the biggest downpour of rain and hail I have been in in Logan. I had no choice but to gut it out back to campus. torrents of rain, rivers, you name it. got back and had to take a 30 minute shower to recover.

great way to start another semester.

The only classes that I took in the engineering building were engineering classes, and math classes (which by the way seem to be like chemistry classes - taught anywhere). Nice way to start the semester!

ah yes -- my math classes were always in the fine arts building. go figure.

Wow what a way to start the semester! Nice job gutting it out. Gave me flashbacks of my days as a USU EE major, walking a mile to school because my car wouldn't start in 20 below 0 weather.

Holy Crud!!! The hail storm attacked two of my favorite people. Somebody was mad at FAST runners yesterday apparently!

Sounds like you had a dark cloud following you around all day.

a dark cloud it was! but fortunately I didn't have the amount of lightning Allie had. That is the real scary stuff.

I know it's scary stuff. And yet, some jerk was laughing at her.
