What about 12:30 and 1:45? lol. That's awesome, it sounds fun.

That's a pretty impressive workout. Congratulations.

I was seriously thinking about another loop on the trail, but my wife made a crack about my "running addiction" so I decided to sit around the campfire for a while. It's been a couple hours now and I still haven't showered... so I may just go again :)

That trail is the most fun I've ever had running!

From Burt on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 21:35:16 from 206.19.214.144

You're going to get dizzy.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 21:41:07 from 72.102.248.132

AHHHH!!! OWWWW!! WOOO!!

You make me dizzy Miss Lizzy...

From Kelli on Mon, Aug 16, 2010 at 22:47:57 from 71.219.102.155

WOW!! That is quite the MONDAY. And those first 10, smokin' fast!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 14:28:54 from 72.102.118.19

Yeah, I got a little carried away. I should probably take it easy for a couple days since I still have a long run planned for Friday morning. I definitely understand the attraction to trail running now. I may even look into some trail races.

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 14:39:47 from 71.219.102.155

I do not stand in "carried away" judgment. I think it sounds like a GREAT day!

***Sorry, spelled a word wrong, had to fix it before Burt noticed.***

From Burt on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 14:46:13 from 206.19.214.144

Kelli, I'm better than that.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 15:01:24 from 72.102.118.19

I say carried away because I'm trying to hover around 30 mpw and "accidentally" did 50 last week. Now I'm almost at 20 on Monday and still have a 22 miler planned for Friday. It's so funny, I remember when 3 miles at 8:30 pace seemed like torture.

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 15:25:19 from 71.219.102.155

3 miles at an 8:30 pace is torture....you wold much rather run 15 miles at a 7:15 pace!!!

Are you tapering? I am lost.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 15:35:05 from 72.102.118.19

I don't have any "races" planned until the Resolution Run series starts in January. I am doing the run in a half iron relay next month but that's just for fun. I don't even have a goal in mind for that one. I'm really just trying to keep it fun while maintaing some good base mileage so I don't have to start from scratch to get that 3:10 in Boston.

From Kelli on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 15:38:52 from 71.219.102.155

We were just discussing Boston this weekend on our long run and how so many people were either having fun or out of shape sine getting their BQ (you can tell by BIB numbers and when they finish). Somehow, I seem to be in better shape in the spring (at least my marathon experiences feel that way even if the times do not reflect it) and maybe it is because the mileage was lower over the winter and I am not all beat up. I think you have a great plan.

From baldnspicy on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 16:21:01 from 72.77.65.69

Rock on, RT! The trail is definitely fun, that's for sure. I'll be doing my first official trail race in November. It's supposed to be muddy and cold. Should be great!

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 18:23:23 from 72.102.118.19

Wes - Muddy and cold makes it sound a little less fun to me. Be careful out there. I'll probably pass on any actual trail racing until after Boston.

From DLTheo on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 18:31:25 from 155.130.107.42

You should do Bank to Bay 10K. A nice short one for you. It's in just a few weeks.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 20:16:10 from 72.102.118.19

Bank to Bay is out for me. I already have the Grand Columbian Half Iron relay in September. I would like to find a local 5 or 10k this month though. I want to do one race a month between now and April.
