14 easy, peaceful miles in the Amish farmlands between Lancaster and Intercourse PA. Such a sharp contrast to NY city! It was great taking some quiet time to reflect on my weekend in Boston. Race report coming eventually...

What the heck are you doing running 14 miles two days after the marathon?! Man, I wouldn't be able to run 2 miles that soon after!

Sorry to hear things didn't go as planned in the big race. I watched your splits closely and knew something was up over the last 12k, but seems once you started up again you were back on a good pace. Glad to see you are still among the living today!

I feel great and the scenery was so cool I just kept going as long as I could without missing breakfast :)

My foot flared up Monday in mile 23 and slowed me to a limpy walk. Once I got going again I felt pretty good, but I found another guy walking that had unsuccessfully tried to get me moving in the previous mile so I returned the favor and had better luck getting him going. By that time I had already blown any chance of a PR so I just jogged the last couple miles with him to the finish. It was really cool finishing a big race without being completely exhausted and delirious. Best race ever regardless of my time! Tomorrow I'll be running in DC :)

Sorry about your foot and finish. It was cool to see you for food and during the race.

Kam - Thanks, it was good seeing you too. My foot acting up was kind of a bummer, but I am happy with my finish.

April - My legs feel great. Probably due to all the walking. We did the Freedom trail right after the race and again on Tuesday. I walked all over Intercourse, PA on Wednesday and then DC yesterday.

Nicole - soon...

Walking does help with recovery IMO. I know when I sit on my but after a race that is when I pay pay pay

I think we have been patient enough! By the time you get around to writing the race report you will have forgotten the race!!! ;o)

Look at the miles you are cranking out after a marathon! WOW, that is impressive in and of itself. You truly are a RUNNER.

From rAtTLeTrAp on Wed, Apr 27, 2011 at 18:06:30 from 75.196.29.21

I finally had time to write more about the race and the rest of my trip if you're still interested. I know it's just old news now, but there it is. I'll probably add some pictures later. I couldn't do that with my phone on the plane.
