5:00am Haggai 1 - Matthew 21 Last long training run done! I feel like a million bucks except for a little road rash. At 8 miles I tripped over a piece of pipe laying on the sidewalk. I must have been moving pretty fast because I rolled twice once I hit the concrete. I lost a little skin from both elbows, right shoulder, right hip, and left hand. I turned around at that point to head home. By the time I got back to my neighborhood the pain had subsided and I felt like I had just barely warmed up so I did the 5 mile Oakbrook loop at just under marathon pace to see how long I could hang on. The pace was manageable and I think I could have held out quite a bit longer if I was doing 7:15s. Now I'm thinking my original goal may still be possible if the conditions are right on raceday. Boston here I come! Some bloggers are meeting in the lobby of the Radisson Hotel at 6pm on Saturday the 16th if you haven't heard yet. Hope to see you there if you're going to Boston!
