Easy run. My right hamstring is still a little sore from Saturday, but not too bad. It was better towards the end of the run than it was at first. The morton's neuroma in my left foot is also bugging be again. I may have to go back to the doc for that.

morton's neuroma? yea, had to google that one. Those splits are unbelivable. I slog away at 9 minutes per mile, sometimes more, then I come over here and get embarrassed.

As for Boston, I haven't set my goals yet but I'm thinking I should be able to go 7:45 pace (3:23) maybe much better. I live, train and marathon at 4500 feet so dropping down to sea level might give me a pretty good boost, I have no idea what to expect. My qualifying run was 3:28 in Salt Lake, not exactly an easy marathon. I'm stronger and faster since then, so these are the things still bouncing around in my head. Looks like you're headed there with a 3:10 goal, correct?

Burt - I said easy, not slow.

April - Seriously, ouch.

Laputka - Yep, 3:10 is the goal. The McMillan pace calc says I'm on target for 3:06 judging from my 10k. We'll see how that holds up as I start increasing my race distances. I have a 15k and 20k coming up in February and March. I think I'm going to pass on the 5k this weekend. I may want that sub 19 just enough to hurt myself trying. Skipping it will also put me $30 closer to Boston :)
