I ran 60 minutes on the elliptical, calf seems to be coming around and I'm hoping that I will be able to get some running in this week! I hope I am finally getting past this darn thing!

See ya tomorrow.

I ran out towards Mini GU but stopped a little short, calf was feeling better but not a hundred percent but for sure on the mend. The real bad thing was my legs felt like lead bricks, they had no strength and it was a death march pretty much so a little discouraging... I had some old shoes on so that maybe that had something to do with it, I will try new shoes tomorrow and see how things go. I feel like I have a long way to go, oh well at least I was able to run. Pace was way slow at 9:14 with a total time of 47:02 I finished up with some upper body weight training and then some push-ups. We will see how my calf recovers for tomorrow and I hope I can continue running and get back to it!

See ya tomorrow.

I tried to run this morning and it was a no go with my darn calf! I'm really considering just bagging the marathon at this point, I'm really disappointed and I'm not sure what I'm going to do but I am running out of time and it doesn't want to get better... I will maybe give it until Monday and see if there's any improvement if there isn't then I'm out!

See ya tomorrow.

Well, I tried some new topical stuff on my calf that I got from Pat Loss that he has used in the past and it seemed to help a little bit. I was able to run some but I really didn't feel great just from the fact that I just have no energy, but the calf did better today so I have decided to give this thing another week and my plan is to see if I can get my mileage back up to where it was before the injury this next week...  And then if I can get in a decent long run next week, 10 to 15 miles, then my plan is to stay in this and see what I can do, I would still have time to get in a couple 20 milers and then maybe not taper as much but again that will all depend on next week. I will have to be able to be back up to at least 6 to 7 miles a day by Friday and then a decent long run on Saturday. No watch today as it was out of battery but it felt like about an 9 minute mile, very slow and very laboring, I hit the elliptical for 3 miles in 30 minutes and I felt a little better after that. I all so did my lower body weight training in between the running and the elliptical.

See ya Monday.
