My leg is really starting to hurt now, it seems to be getting worse each day instead of getting better! It might be time to book an appointment with the doctor as much as I hate to admit it... I am limping and can barley walk which is a change from a week ago when walking seemed to help the pain and make it feel better, I don't know what is going on.

Someone help me please!

It will come around. I know it's hard in the moment to be deal with- and I'm not one to give any advice here since I'm always a complete mess. Just have some fun doing other stuff, play some x-box, golf, kick back and take a nap... Just some ideas.

From Tom on Tue, Jun 17, 2008 at 15:37:00

Clay I think you're right about it maybe being time to let the doc take a look just to be on the safe side.

On the other hand I'm wondering if the extra pain today may be related to you spending a lot of sitting hours yesterday driving down to St. George and back. For me sitting for long stretches of time without a walk break can aggravate all kinds of aches and pains. Hopefully this is all it is.

At any rate I really hope for you a speedy recovery. Clyde's advice is good...have fun, doing other things you enjoy, bask in the simple pleasures of life and realize it could always be alot worse. Now please remind me of everything I've told you when it comes my turn to be laid up for a while and I turn into a grump-monster.

Kind of weird to hear that advise from Clyde and Tom...two of the last people in the world that would take it for themselves! But they are right. Running is a great sport and hobby, but it is not who we are. We are more than that. Be patient and enjoy other things in life at the moment so you can return to the hobby and sport that you love. Good luck in the recovery. Keep us posted.

I always spell advise/advice wrong, and I know it bugs Tom a bit. Oh well, there has to be something about me that bugs him...right?!

Kim.....Thanks for the great words of wisdom about running, that is really good advice.

Clay....Listen to Kim she knows what she is talking about. It sucks to be injured, we both know that, but it will pass. Hang in there buddy.
