Tried to do a long (12 mile) progressive run. Wasn't sure where to start (what pace). With the hills I have it seemed to trun out pretty good based on the progression of my HR. I tried to drop 2-3 seconds off of the total average time each mile. This was accomplished pretty well. I set the run up so I could do 14 in this same progression but I wasn't feeling it at 12 so I stopped and ran the last 4.65 home at a slow cool-down pace. I was hoping for some miraculous power that would show me I'm ready for a strong Half but it wasn't there. :-(
Nice weather: 48 degrees to start, 64 to finish, 57% humidity, 49 dew point, 153 lbs at end.
