Personal:

Have been active my whole life, but turned my focus to running in 2006 after deciding to run a marathon.  I really enjoy the training aspect and staying healthy, but mileage has been on the decline over the past 3 years due to work commitments, so focus has turned away from races and more on just staying fit enough to still enjoy getting out.  Moved from Utah to Texas in October 2016 with my wife and 3 month old babe.

Lacy went to the gym so I hitched a ride and ran over to glenwild trail. Did the small frontside loop and ran home.  Probably ~700 ft of climbing. Perfect weather and trail conditions

Been having some late nights working, so not much run time this week :(  Ran to the roundabout and back.  2 mi walk to work after.

2 mi warm up with Griffin on the trails.  Then out to the roundabout for 6 x :75 second reps w/ 3:00 walk after, 1 mi cool down.  Wore my Garmin today to see splits which were 5:50, 5:40, 5:30 for the last 4.  I felt a little sluggish starting out today, so i'm ok with the 5:30 pace, but would like these to be in the 5:15-ish range when i feel better.  Will start wearing my Garmin more on these workouts to get pacing feedback while effort is still determined by feel.
