Noon run, sunny, temp. 55'

Now that I've signed up for a 50 miler next spring I thought I'd see what it would feel like to go at a 9-9:30 mile pace.  I couldn't do it.  I'm sure after 30-40 miles of running it will take a big effort.

Noon run, sunny, temp. 60'

I'm blaming Paul T. for showing me the website on yesterdays comment.  The discussion talked about a cadence of 180 which I'm assuming means 180 steps a minute.  I decided to test mine today and I'm around 160.  When I tried to take shorter steps I still struggled to get into the 170's.  And I thought I'd really shortened my stride and changed from a heel strike to a flat foot strike.
