Ventured out for a complete 4 miles today!  Hip got tired after 3.5 miles, but not really painful.  Also did an hour on the elliptical afterwards.

SNOW!!!  We got about a foot of the white stuff last night.  It made everything look really pretty, minus the broken branches.  As I was shoveling the walk, I had just cleared one section and then a branch broke and dumped a bunch of snow and leaves back down.  We decided to walk to school and Ali wanted to join, but Aaron ended up taking the kids all they way to school and Ali and I turned around after half-way since she was moving half as fast.  I wasn't really up for slipping and sliding around for a run so I went to the gym and ran on the indoor track.  Also did an hour on the elliptical.

Ran around the indoor track at FAC again.  Also did the elliptical for an hour with no earphones (I gave mine to Aaron.)  There was a guy kicking his soccer ball around in the racquet ball court right below me with his headset on, listening to some tunes.  Every few minutes he would burst into song or whistle loudly, and I was glad I didn't have my earphones in or I may have missed that real life entertainment.

Later today I am flying to SLC for a girls weekend with some former BYU teammates.  Looking forward to catching up and having fun!  I wish I could run more since I'm sure we'll be doing some running, but I'll take what I can get.

Arrived in SLC last night for my girls weekend/reunion with some former BYU teammates.  Enjoyed dinner with my Mom and Sisters before having them drop me off at my friend, Jessie's home in the Sugarhouse area. This morning Jessie had to go to work (she is finishing up her fellowship in OBGYN at the University of Utah) so Amy and I slept in and then went to Draper to meet Amy's sister who happened to be in town.  We walked 4 miles with Amy's sister and then ran 5 miles afterwards.  Beautiful morning out on the Jordan River Parkway path.

Katie and Sarah joined the party later in the day and we all had a blast catching up over dinner.  Its amazing how we can spend so many years apart not even keeping in very close contact and then when we reunite we pick up right where we left off.  My smiling muscles were in serious fatigue when I finally put my head on my pillow well after midnight.

Started my run with Sarah, Katie, and Amy up City Creek canyon for 3 miles and then back down 1 mile to where Jessie was walking (she is 36 weeks prego so not exactly up for running straight up a hill).  Enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the Canyon and good conversation with friends.  Sarah, Katie, and Amy went up a couple more miles for a total 10 mile round trip.  I ended up with 4 running miles and a few more walking with Jessie.

Later that night we decided to go to the Roof restaurant since Jessie had a gift card from a friend she wanted to use.  We were puzzled at why people would actually pay $39/plate for food that was about as good as the Cannon Center cafeteria (BYU freshman know what I am talking about.)  I guess the atmosphere is what you are paying for since you are sitting just a few hundred feet away from the SLC Temple spires (gorgeous.)  The company I was with made it all that much more enjoyable as well.  Jami Caldwell met us afterwards and we got to hang with her for a while too.
