I had some success in high school and college. Winner 1985 Rod Dixon Run
Had a fair amount of success as a Masters runner for most of my 40s.
Short-Term Running Goals:
Have fun with running, explore more trails, stay healthy.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep running and racing consistently for as long as I can. Find what is sustainable for me over the long run.
Personal:
I teach AP European History and other courses at Alta High School. I coached the track and cross country teams at Alta for 16 years.
Married, two kids - Abby and Andy
AM: 7 miles up and down Grandeur Peak. Nice and cool early this morning.
Teachers start back tomorrow and I'm eager to get back at it. The time off is nice but I always love the freshness of a new year.
PM: 15 miles on the bike after dinner.
The annual post-summer reality of adjusting my workouts to having to go to work at 6:30 AM and hot afternoon temps is upon me.
Noon: Weights in the school weight room which is getting quite deluxe. Lots of cool new equipment.
PM: 10 eliptical miles, 1 mile row.
PM: 21 miles on the bike around the neighborhood. Averaged 16.4 mph. 98 degrees at the start.
AM: 21 miles on the bike.
