AM: Walked to the gym with Andy. He lugged a 30 pound pack. Then I supervised a circuit workout for Andy of pull-ups, push-ups, crunches, and squats plus one mile on the treadmill. Walked home.

PM: 30 miles on the bike. Averaged 16.2 mph. Sunny and cool.

Ann made white chicken chili, one of my favorites. So I'm enjoying that now with a pint of Guinness. Decided to go to Dunedin for Thanksgiving so I might just go and register for THE Turkey Trot.

Also, let's not forget that Conner MF Mantz, formerly of this blog, broke the American record for the marathon today!

A good day.

Been telling everyone before the Chicago race to look out for Conner to be the first American and to get the new record!!

Enjoy THE Times Turkey Trot in Clearwater! - I think I ran the very first one in like 1978 or so when I was 12 years old and ran that one year after year while we lived there and in town for the holiday - and then all of my kids began doing at least the 5k every year so much so that it became a family tradition. They have one in Atlanta but it is not the same.

A $50 5k? Harrumph!

Wait, is that what 5k's cost nowadays?

Bret - You are correct, there are turkey trots and there's THE Turkey Trot.

Tom - It was $30.00

I remember seeing Connor when he was 10- fast even back then. Too bad he doesn't FRB now.

Rob, is this Dunedin FL? NZ? And why is it THE turkey trot?
