So take this for what you want, but I just spent a long time looking through every entry of your FRB from pre-2018 until today. Read basically everything other than the short run summaries.

My summary of your blog- Lots of ruminating on:

Teaching/curriculum

Students- especially regarding suicide and some of the covid craziness

Grandeur peak, and more Grandeur peak

Running

Races

Aging

Kids leaving home

Good books

Politics

Andy's sports

SLC weather (hot, snow, rain)

Jazz and baseball

A bit about SC, FL, MN, CO

Careers and retiring

Most people don't still write much these days, but I'm glad you do, Rob. I enjoy your insights and perspectives.

Nice overview, Jon. I regret the periods of time in my life when I didn't blog consistently, which I think were from October 2020 to around early 2021 and then a gap in early spring/late winter of the same year. Things were challenging then for a number of reasons, but otherwise I have been at it consistently since very late 2011/early 2012. The blog has changed my life and running directly. I too appreciate when people write a lot, whatever it is about.

I do recall looking back at one of your older race reports (a R2R) a number of years ago and Rob losing a Cliff Bar or two or whatever one eats on such adventures :-)

Rob’s blog is basically the pulse of the ideal American man. I know I don’t go too many days in a row before I drop in to see what’s new.

This was a delight to read! I think I've left politics and aging behind Jon. As far as the aging topic goes, I don't think it's much of a revelation to point out that you get slower and maybe more achy as you get older so I would like to ask you all to slap me if I ever bring it up again.

There's more to aging than slowing in running. There's increased wisdom and different perspectives of life.
