| Member Since: Nov 27, 2016 Gender: Male Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: I have run 12 marathons, 5 since major surgery in 2005. My fastest was Leipzig in 1992. 3 hours 11 minutes 48 seconds. The Mesa-Phx Marathon on February 25, 2017 was the fastest since my surgery at 4:26:59. Short-Term Running Goals: I want to improve on my last Marathon time. After the Phoenix Marathon that I ran February 25, 2017 I want to focus on shorter races and do a sprint tri. I did improve about 45 minutes faster on the Mesa-Phx Marathon over the last Petrified Forest Marathon and about 27 minutes faster than the last time I ran the Mesa-Phx Marathon. Long-Term Running Goals: Continue to run and work on my speed. Do shorter races and a sprint tri in the next year. Personal: I have been an educator for 32 years. | AM. 39:34 with 9:44 pace. Ran 3 loops in neighborhood. Not as hilly. 10:00 9:45 9:43 and 9:34 plus 33 sec. did 2 and 3 min pickup recoverys after warmup. My legs don’t want to move in the morning and it is too hot after work. |

| Walked 1.15 miles and then rode my Fat Tire bike three loops in the neighborhood. My feet needed a break. |

| AM started 7:30 was already too hot. Didn’t start feeling it too badly until mile four. Miles two three and four are mostly up miles. 1:02:34 with 10:22 pace. 10:07 9:54 10:35 11:05 10:08 10:27 with 17 seconds. Miles five and six are mostly down and some flat but the heat was getting me by then. The weather said it was in the mid seventies with a real feel in the eighties. Felt hotter to me. |
