| AM: 14.4 miles, 6:44/mile pace with Darek. Yesterday was killing me a bit, so we sped it up today to loosen everything up. The weather was shockingly good. Probably the first time the weather and temperature been anywhere near normal since... March? All I know is it's the first time I wanted to run outside the moment I stepped out the door.

| AM: 11.8 miles, 4 fast. Today I just wanted to ease back into some speed. I know I'm not recovered from the marathon even if I feel fine. The microtears are tricky devils.
The workout was 10x2:00 intervals with descending rest. This is probably my favorite workout. Starting at jogging for recovert for 90 seconds and then descending all the way down to 10 seconds of rest in 10 second increments,90,80,...,20,10. This workout just flies. Just went by effort. The workout was not challenging at all until the final interval. It's more just sort of a... surprise to the body to have to restart so quickly after stopping.
Splits (paces per mile)- 5:24, 5:18, 5:08, 5:00, 5:09, 5:11, 5:06, 5:15, 5:02, 5:15.

| No running. I'm at a crossroads with running again. I want to focus away from the marathon, but it truly keeps drawing me back in. I have been looking at races, but I have not pulled the trigger. I think I am over Boston. This last iteration was... okay. I appreciate the prestige, but the course is quite frankly, hard. And for the price has escalated to $230 which is insane. We'll see. That's expensive for an apple, a snack bag of doritos, two oreos, a gatorade, and a shirt that starts to pull apart after a couple of washes.

| PM: 8.2 miles, 4 fast with Darek and John. Hot again! Fortunately, only in the mid 80s. I had no goals today so I suggested half-mile repeats, as it's easy and mindless. I know I am getting closer to being recovered, but it's still not smart to hammer anything. Workout was 8 x half mile with 2:00 recoveries. I ended up with longer recoveries since they were a bit behind me on each, so it's probably safer to say they ended up being equal recoveries.
Splits- 2:38, 2:39, 2:29, 2:34, 2:34, 2:36, 2:36, 2:34
The workout was not taxing, although I could do without the heat and humidity. The majority of the intervals had some type of incline in them, so that made it a bit more fun than normal. Next week it will be time to start getting serious. I believe I am ready for that.

| AM: 14.1 miles with Drew, Quint, Lee, ... a lot of people. Was loving the run, but then everyone sped it up for the last six miles and I clearly wasn't handling that well, so I kind of just hung on the back.
