Running Accomplishments:

Started running in 2001.  Have completed over 100 marathons and ultras since then. 

Marathon PR 2:56:04 (2005 St. George)

New PR 2:53:24 (2008 Tucson)

Finished 2nd Overall in 2005 Utah Grand Slam to Paul Peterson.  He beat me by 30 min in every race.

1/2 Marathon PR 1:23:56 (2008 Just Cuz Half Marathon)

Completed the Utah Grand Slam 10 consecutive years (2003-2012).  I don't know if anyone else has done that.

Short-Term Running Goals:

2024 Goals:

Be consistent in my Riding.

Drop a few lbs.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I have long-term biking goals.  Running is completely out of the question with the Meniscus in my knee.

Personal:

I'm in the 60-64 Age Group.....Yikes!

I have been married for over 40 years.  We have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.

It was 71 degrees and muggy at 5:30 this morning.  Barry Smith picked me up and we drove to the top of Buckskin to run some of the marathon course.  It was 67 at the top and a bit cooler down the back side.  Luckily the cloud cover held up so it did not get overly hot.  We hit 101 yesterday so it was a concern.

We ran 19.05 miles with some decent speedplay from mile 14 on.  I ran a couple 6:40's while Barry chased and he ran some 7:00's while I chased.
