Did my long run in the morning. It was hard on me! It was a very hilly run and the wind was nasty. I swear it was in my face the entire time both out and back. Not sure how that works but it sure seemed that way. Don't know how many mph it was but it was strong enough that the little political signs on peoples yards were bent nearly completely over. I decide to cope with it in three ways: 1. Not complain because I think the people in Arizona run in this kind of stuff all the time. 2. See it as a toughening experience that will pay off on race day. If race day is windy, I'll be used to it. If it's not, it will feel easy. 3. I spent the last couple miles chanting over and over something to the effect of "why don't I stop? For no other reason than I am too tough to stop."
