Teena- I'm training for a local 5k in September. I'm following the FIRST training program. My goal is to go sub 24. Don't laugh. I know that not all that fast, but it's where I am at right now.

Mack, that's a great goal. I love the FIRST training plans. I really think they promote well balanced fitness. Just work as hard at the cross training as you do at the running and you will be in the best shape of your life.

Thanks for checking in on me DoG and Teena. I have been with my family at a scout camp in New Mexico called "philmont" for the past week. Even got in some running while we were there. Going from running at sea level here in Oregon to 6200' there was interesting though.
