COLD! I usually love racing in the rain, but this one was too cold. Once my feet got soaked, I could feel the extra weight. I was running 13 seconds per mile slower than what I wanted. Wanted 3:14 and change, got 3:20:06. I guess it's not bad because it's 9 minutes and 34 seconds faster than BQ. Half of that is because I aged up. I'll be 50 in 3 and a half months so my new BQ is 3:30.
I knew I was cooked at mile 9. My feet were heavy and i could feel it. I'm happy that I sayed consistent. 1st half 1:39:36, 2nd half 1:40:30.
Got up at 2am, hit the road at 3:38. Everything was smooth.
