| Did not eat well last night and I didn't take food or water with me on this run. Big mistake! I really bonked the last few miles I know if I had GU with me I could have run much better. |

| Half mile warm up 6X400 7:30 speed. First time I have done speed work in a long time. It felt good but hard at the same time. The last time I ran injury free, and also my best marathon time was the 08-09 season. Because of that I am looking back at that season and trying to duplicate it. I noticed that I ran very few miles and cross trained a lot. I also ran only one marathon that year which I am going to do again this year. I hope that this will give me an injury free/fast year!!!! Lifted for legs and abs

| 3 miles on the hotel treadmill. I wanted to go further but there was only one working treadmill. When I had run 1.5 miles a guy came in and wanted to run too. He tried to get the broken treadmill to work but couldn't so I let him have mine. I had already walk all around the French Quarter for at least 3 miles so I was good for the day. I worked my core a little and did some walking lunges before I left. |
