| Lunch- 9 miles, most of them a fair amount quicker than usual. The weather has been cool and rainly lately, 3-4 inches in the past week and always overcast. A HUGE storm system is predicted to drop 14+ inches of additional rain by Sunday. Might be some flooding.

| Today is St George marathon and StumpJump 50k, both races I've done and enjoyed. I may be retired from racing but I still am excited for my racing friends and follow along. Given the rain outside today, it seems fitting I did both races in bad weather years, and that SJ is expecting lots of rain today. Run strong, friends, and enjoy. I actually appear in the video 3 times. Can anyone figure out where? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhEWT4qp-4M Speaking of bad weather, it's currently 53 deg, pouring buckets, and 20 mph winds. I think I'll go for a nice run in a minute. Ran 8 miles. Felt good, probably around 7 min pace. The good news about running in the rain is, once you are wet, you can't get any wetter. |

| Lunch- 3 running, then about 40 min ultimate. It was a windy day and we only had 7 people. The wind can sure do some strange things to a frisbee.

| AM- 10 miles on the GE track, the first 3 with Dan. Started fast due to joining Dan and then felt like I slowed down, but didn't. I guess that's a good sign. I think my pace was 7:15-7:20 ish.

| It's my birthday, but I definitely can't run 37 miles. Or even 37k. In fact, I've got a bit of a shin pain right now (shin splints?)- anyways, I did 37 minutes of elipitical. It was glorious.

| AM- 10 miles. Felt ok, considering I hadn't run since last Tuesday, I think. I had a bit of a leg pain (shin splints, I'd guess) that responded very favorably to rest. And I really hurt my neck/upper back on Thursday apple picking with my kids, carrying them around and having them stand on my shoulders trying to pick high apples. I was in pretty good pain for 2 days and still have some lingering soreness, but it's much better today than Friday. Anyways, expect to be back to normal running this week. Who knows, maybe I'll even hit the 50 mile mark.

| AM- made it 6 miles running before the returning shin pain convinced me to quit before it gets worse. Added some xt. I really think it's due to these shoes being dead- this was my last run with them.

| I've eaten a bowl of oatmeal, an apple, some pizza, and a whole lot of treats today. Must be Halloween. I did make it out for a 5 mile run between soccer games. That means this is my first 50+ mile week since Western in June.
