Ran with Paula this morning.  It was my first morning breaking out the tights and fleece :(   The hip felt okay until 2.5 and then progressively got worse.  Not as bad as Saturday, but I was much better about controlling the pace.   Trying to go see the chiropractor to see if that will help at all.

I am in San Diego today for work and tried to sleep in but  couldn't.  I  forgot how much I love running here!  Beautiful weather, beautiful sunrise - just perfect!   I just had time for 4 easy miles, but the good news is no real pain or irritation until mile 4.  This is just about a record!

Ran with Paula this morning and it was much warmer that I expected.   We ran the big block and added on a little bit.  The hip was feeling pretty good until I rolled my ankle at about mile 3 but it wasn't much worse than yesterday.   I am going to the chiro today and will see what he says.

Nice cold morning with Paula.  Hip was just okay, it is almost more just IT now than anything.

I was on my own today and decided that I was going to do what I call "favorite run".  It is 3 miles up hill to Westridge, 2 miles of some up and down through the golf course and out by Frito Lay and then another 3 downhill home.  I love the view of the valley and the lake from the ridge and despite the cloud cover today, there was still a little view.

I decided to just run by feel and not push to much.  My  IT band started right at 1.25 miles but worked it's way out by mile 3.   I was pleasantly surprised by my pace up the hills 9:31, 9:15 9:16 - because I wasn't really pushing and they have a pretty good grade.   The next two were 8:35 & 8:16 and then 7:48, 7:35 and 7:35 back home.

Needless to say this is the best run I have had in a really, really long time.  Other than SGM, probably since before Labor Day.   I am finishing up the prednisone and I am hoping that the issues will continue to improve with stretching and massage.
