I was on my own today and decided that I was going to do what I call "favorite run". It is 3 miles up hill to Westridge, 2 miles of some up and down through the golf course and out by Frito Lay and then another 3 downhill home. I love the view of the valley and the lake from the ridge and despite the cloud cover today, there was still a little view. I decided to just run by feel and not push to much. My IT band started right at 1.25 miles but worked it's way out by mile 3. I was pleasantly surprised by my pace up the hills 9:31, 9:15 9:16 - because I wasn't really pushing and they have a pretty good grade. The next two were 8:35 & 8:16 and then 7:48, 7:35 and 7:35 back home. Needless to say this is the best run I have had in a really, really long time. Other than SGM, probably since before Labor Day. I am finishing up the prednisone and I am hoping that the issues will continue to improve with stretching and massage. Ave Pace 8:29 Happy Running!
