Am: 15 miles with some of the mileage with Robby. From the house into Hollywood park and back around the hood. Lots of concrete lately, catching up with my soreness. Need to drive to some of my runs. Double up later today most likely

pm: 4 more with Katie and jogger. Finished up with strides. Perfect cool dry air night for a run. Woulda liked to gone 4 more. But had to hit up some family dinner plans.

Nooner: half day of work. Got out to Mcallister by 11:30 and ran 3 before Kate and Matthew got there. Ran 11 with jogger and Kate on salado creek river trail, nice and slow. Then 1 mile of strides and some light drills to shake out my dead legs. 60-65 out and full sun. Not a cloud in the sky. Amazing out! Loved all the vitamin D I got today!

Am: work in the afternoon. Did 5.3 mile warmup to Reagan HS to meet Robby. We did 16x400m at 73-74 average with 200m recovery. Felt harder then it should. Got to get on the track more! Atleast once a week. 2.5 mile cool down. Going to double right after work for 20 total day. 

Pm: 6 right after work at jack white park trail head. Last mile sub 6 just for fun and to get it done with

Pm: 14 big ones to ring out 2014. 10.5 with Katie around lake lady bird. All crushed gravel. Perfect trail. 3.5 to end the run. Cool weather but nothing like up north.

Pm: 11 miles from house to hills neighborhood and back. Last 5 miles a little faster. Slow start today with rain, mist all morning. Glad to get a run in for first day of 2015

Pm: 10 miles with jax around the hood. 5x .20-.25miles on the watch. Misty, gray sky's. Hope to see some sun tomorrow. Opted into a half marathon tomorrow morning in New Braunfels for a fun tempo run. Planning on 5:30-5:40 pace effort, along their river front run. Supposedly pretty scenic and I got comped in. So figured i might as well make it my long weekend tempo. See how the comp is. Should be a good long effort day

Am: woke up and drove up to river road ice house in new Braunfels, TX with Katie and Matt. Did a 2.25 mild warm up with some light strides. Took off with the gun to run around a controlled 5:30 mile pace for the run. First mile was mostly downhill, which meant killer uphill on way back since it was an out and back course. Ran about 5:03 for that first mile, slowed down pace to make it comfortable. First half was deceiving with a gradual uphill and headwind most of the way. Felt like I was running up provo canyon for the first half of the run. Turn around actually felt a lot better since I had somewhat of a tailwind and some nice stretches of slight gradual downhill. Felt a lot better on second half. Last mile was killer. 2.8ish cool down. Overall pleased with workout and effort. Solo run the whole way, which was expected. Really pretty/scenic route, but by no stretch of the imagination flat, like advertised. Glad to get up and get in a workout though. Solid week of miles. Glad the holidays are over so I can crack down even more on training. But will miss sleeping in and not working. On to a great 2015 racing season! Oh and weather money today! 40 degrees with 8-10mph wind. Can't complain with those conditions. Pretty sore after the early afternoon nap.
