| Hill work today - did 10 reps up a big hill (about .2 mile long), about 2 miles total of hard uphill running (5:40-6:10 pace), warm humid drizzle during, nice to get some hillwork done, hopefully will translate into speed later. 8.5 total

| steady rain for the first 4 miles turned into an all out deluge for the last 6, completely soaked but it was warm so it was okay. 1:13:16, 7:11 pace for 10.2

| long run turned into a nightmare today - very humid (Iowa summers) and so I thought I could still go long, felt fine through 8 then started to hurt, at 12 stopped to adjust my shirt which I had taken off and was bouncing around tucked in to my shorts and just couldnt ever get back into a rythym after. To top it off I started to get a migraine at that point to - somehow found a way to get home (was still 3-4 miles away at that point) - running can still humble you sometimes and today I got mine
