AM - 15.3 Fields w/ James and then XC Dino Tracks. Run slowly got better as I woke up. Legs weren't quite as trashed the last couple days, but still a few runs out from really having much in them. (Stratus 528.1)

afternoon - 5 Washington Loop w/ Turtle Creek extension.  Not bad only doing 5 this afternoon (1 mile makes a difference in the heat!) - just need to hit 20/day this week, so I was able to cut it down.  Although since I stayed in town on the roads instead of going out to the desert, I couldn't count the number of weird looks I got.  (Cumulus blue 302.9)

Pool Running - 20 min (1off/1on)

I noticed that all the shoes you've ran in this week are 500+ and still going strong? It looks like your ready to do what I need to do pretty soon. Replace and throw away.

I wish i could get that kind of mileage out of my shoes. My stratus are at 200 and im starting to get knee pain when i wear them and the bottoms are wearing out.

I've never had shoes hold up so well. All three/four pairs that are right around 500 or more still feel pretty good. I think as I have been getting more and MORE running in, my form has become more efficient and my stride has become less pounding on my shoes (and my legs) and more flowing. At least that's all I can come up with for having them last so long.

Dave, with the gas prices like they are who can afford the luxury of new shoes anyway. Teams are looking good and I am having them blog. We have a few girls that could be top ten 4A this year, but it is early. The guys team should also be strong, we only lost to Varsity Boys. I, like you, would like to see more out for the summer training but kids are so busy, U classes, working, or trips. I ask them to run where every they are and hope those that are not coming run on their own.
