morning - 5.2 Parkway. Got to sleep in a little (w/ just teacher meetings today and no school). Had a solid 5 miler on the Parkway. Ran MP from the top of the Parkway down and into Cottonmill E. (2 miles: 5:30, 5:50). Rolled on the downhill, and tried to keep it smooth on the flat and felt better about it toward the end. I think 2:40 is still a legit/tough goal. Last day of carbo-loading. I have eaten so much, I don't feel like eating anymore. (Startus red 277.5)

Mmmmm, carbs! Good luck Saturday. I would stick with Kory and Adam and see what happens. You might surprise yourself.

Good Luck Saturday Dave. I'm sure you'll do fine.

I forgot yesterday that I wouldn't be seeing you again this week so...GOOD LUCK! You will do great, I have no doubt. You've trained so hard, what's a couple weeks of being sick? ;) Just go for it and I bet you'll surprise yourself. Oh- and please blog it as soon as you can so Clyde can leave the house on Saturday!

How's this tapering feeling?

We're all getting excited for you Dave! I was just thinking this morning it would be fun to go up and watch. Good luck.

Thanks everybody - I was plotting out my race strategy. It got me pretty pumped up.

Have fun and Good luck Coach! I was just thinking that anyone who is doing Wasatch again should probably be on the boys team because of their experience, if they choose to. Also RJ and Steve O might just not do it if they were put on the co-ed team.

Good luck. As you know this isn't just another race. Running a marathon is special and so you need to go up there and enjoy yourself, relax and prepare to hammer it out. I think once you get going and get a groove on you'll be comfortable with a faster pace. Your going to do great.

Good luck in SLC. 2:40 should be no problem.
