| | I wanted to run on the Jordan river trail to Murray, but the weather pulled a Utah on me and it started hailing directly into my face, so I turned around, went home and put on a t-shirt. I just did a big loop of Salt Lake City instead so I could abort if necessary the weather ended up being fine. 16.5 miles in 2 hours and 5 minutes (7:34 pace) |

| | Started this run out really fast and couldn't really settle in until about 5 miles in. I was at sub 6 pace through 3 miles then started to drift off it a little. Powered through the run in about 62 minutes which is just over 6 minute pace and about 3-4 minutes off of my best. 10.3 miles. |

| | 11 miles out and back on the shoreline trail gaining about 1000 feet. 41:50 on the way out (7:36 pace) and then 34:47 (6:19 pace) on the way back. Felt extremely good. |

| | This was a good start to a bad day. I felt really great and kept throwing in random little surges. I think I'll pretend my day ended there. |

Gotta admit, I was signed up for a race today, but I was in no mood to show up so I just went for a hard run in Liberty Park. I just had a tough but inevitable rejection. 5.5 miles
Went for 9.4 miles in the afternoon and felt pretty good again, I should have run the race today, to restore my sense of self worth. |

| | I shouldn't be so blase about 20 mile runs. I didn't eat enough before or drink enough water. Also, my roommate made me breakfast so I pushed the run to the evening when its much warmer. I felt great through halfway running under 7 minute pace, but I really struggled towards the end as I got hungry and dehydrated, but to be honest it wasn't that hot. 20miles(7:15 pace) |

| | Ran up city creek and back. Apparently, I was 8:50 pace going up, now I'm not so sure on the measurement. Does anyone know how far it is going up City Creek? Time was 54 minutes going from the trailhead to the turnaround, which meant that I was 9:28 pace, very confusing. Total time was 2:33. |

| | Ran three loops of liberty park in the evening, it was easy but I was cruising at around 6 minute pace, pretty sweet. This run made me feel alot better about myself as I was having another self-esteem crisis. |

| | Did two loops of Sugarhouse park in the morning. In the evening I ran home from school, again at around/under 6 minute pace. I raced my roommate/office mate home (he used a road bike) and he beat me by about 2 minutes (over 3.5 miles), which is pretty darn good. Of course, he had to deal with more stop lights than me. |

| | I actually timed my run today, 1:11:28 for 10.6 miles (6:44 pace per mile). I did two loops of Sugarhouse park with the first in 11:11 (5:35 pace for two miles). In the afternoon I did three loops of Liberty park at a decent pace. |

| | Ran up City Creek, but I didn't time it. Pretty relaxed run. I can mentally handle running for that long and maintain good running form, but there's still a huge physical change that occurs after 2 hours of running. |

| | Ran up the shoreline trail from school, trying to put some things into perspective. I've been going through a rough time of it the past three weeks and I had alot of thoughts that I needed to straighten out. The run went by in an eye blink. |

| | Man what a day. Ran 5 miles to lab in the morning to be in time to obtain macrophages from a mouse (with his permission of course) then spent most of the morning processing them. Left lab mid-afternoon headed to the math department and did a little work before running 11 miles in the mountains then headed home. |

AM Ran to the Jordan River parkway and did a tempo run along the river. Did 5 kilometres in 17:16 then finished out the run like normal. This was a pretty tough run, but I'm very pleased seeing as its close to my altitude best (16:52 at Heart of Holladay) and that I'm running very high mileage and that I'd done 11 hilly miles the prior evening. This should probably be the nadir of my performance right now. Anyway I know that no one read my blog, but if you do then I can tell you that it is 5K starting at the traintracks by 1700S on the Jordan River Parkway and finishing at 3300S. When you pass the footbridge opposite from the public bathroom, that is 1.05 miles (which I passed in 5:52). That means I did 5:35 pace for the first mile and then 5:33 for the last two. I felt a little tight during the run and my breathing was definitely very hard.

| | Ran my Murray Jordan 20-miler. I got my wish as, against all odds, I saw a certain someone in Murray. I took it as a sign and ran way too fast for the remainder of my run. I split somewhere around 1:12 (7:12 pace)and 1:07 (6:42 pace) for 2:18:48 (6:56 pace) total. I felt ok except for the dehydration. |

Things I can no longer think about: Murray, Mormons, Second degree burns, red hair, hot pockets, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor dream or any musical for that matter, ice cream, balloons, gyros, ntm17 contamination, buses or trains, Chicago, prelim exams, my birthday and what tomorrow brings.
What today brought: Ran 11 miles or thereabouts up Mt Wire (7200'), where the radiotower is overlooking salt lake city. |
