Road Race for Education (3.15 Miles) 00:19:12, Place overall: 5 | | Splits of 5:52, 5:50, 6:50 and :38. The second mile contains quite a lot of downhill but the last mile is very tough and a little long according to every measurement of it I've done. Course tool says me splits were about even in terms of adjusted pace, which would work out to about 18:20 on a flat course. Not sure why I've done so poorly at this race both this year and last year. I just didn't feel good either time.
I ran :45 seconds faster this year than last year, but the start line was moved so the course was about :35 shorter. So this time was really only worth about :10 seconds better.
