| | Did a 1600 warm up on the track, and did what I thought would be a quick 3 mile jog before taking my mother out to a mother's day dinner on me. However, once I hit the 2 mile mark I decided that I felt great, better than I had in a long time. I kept going, and ended up doing a 5 mile run instead. Didn't have my watch, but it felt like I was in the 6:20 range. Good day.

| | Went to the park, did a mile warmup, and did a couple mile repeats at 5:40 pace, which dissuaded me as I was hoping for a quicker pace, but it's alright. after that I did 2x800 repeats at 2:40. Pretty slow, but that's why I'm training in the offseason. mile cooldown afterwards.

| | Did a mile warmup, and did a little over a 5k at 6:22 pace. I went out at a sub 6 first mile, and slowed down pretty drastically. After that I did 8x50 meter wind sprints, and a little over a mile cooldown.

| | Mile warmup, and about a 6.5 mile run. Here are my mile paces;
mile 1- 6:30
mile 2- 7:00
mile 3- 7:20
mile 4- 8:00
mile 5- 7:20
mile 6- 6:55
mile 7- 6:50
There was about a 300m stretch around 5.5 miles in where I sped up to sub-6 pace because I saw a hot girl. According to my watch I set my 10k record of 45:11(with the watch) hopefully I can break 40 by August. After that 8x50m wind sprints, and a little over a mile cooldown.

| | Did a mile warm up at the park, then ran the time trials course for XC in 18:25, but I was running for splits. I was trying to conserve as much as possible for later in the run, so I averaged a 6:45 pace the first mile. After that I sped it up to a 6:10 for mile 2, ending mile 3 at about 6:05. My goal for the actual time trials this season is sub-16 for the 3 mile road race, so I need to shave a minute off each split, hopefully averaging a sub 5:00 pace for my last 600. I hope to break the Uintah High School 3 mile record, which is a speedy 16:13.5 set by Keaton Graham. After my course preview I did 8x75m wind sprints, and ran a mile and a half cooldown.

| | No run today. I had to go to state for choir. I planned to wake up at 5 and go run 5 miles and do some heavy reps of light weights and some core, but getting between 2-5 hours of sleep for thw past four days due to calculus, AP English, and AP Chem finals. On another note, I'm super stoked to go to team usa XC camp in a little over a month. The week before I'll be in Georgia for a family reunion, but I plan on using the elevation change as a reason to increase mileage. Hopefully I don't get stabbed whilst running through the hood haha. But in all seriousness, I'm really hoping I'll learn a lot about dieting and strength at the camp. This year I haven't mentally in to running. Is train what I thought to be hard(this week alone is harder than any week my coaches have gave me). My sophomore year I was so into it, but I was pretty weak so I didn't get that fast. I got all PRs this year, but they could have been more drastic if I had put my heart into it. On another note, I'm seriously questioning my coaches thinking. They tell us never to do more than 30 miles a week, yet I know for a fact every one of those top ten at footlocker west did at least twice as much as that. I'm going to try to do 40 this week, 45 the next, and keep moving up until I'm around 70. I had a talk with my dad, and we discussed matthew matons breaking of 4:00 in the mile. I'm sure he does more than 30 a week. The first high schooler to ever break 4? Between 100-150 a week. Wow. If I increase 5 miles per week, I might be able to work up to that. I also am pretty excited to run a Ragnar in a month. I start the race off on the USU track. I want to average around a 6:20 pace. I have about a mile straight downhill, and those are my advantage, so I could average a low 5, and hopefully recover.

| | Did a 1 mile warmup, then ran 7 mile run. Not too proud of the pace, but it was up U hill and the rest of that mountain range. All together I ran up a little over 1500 feet. However, the first half of my last mile was 5:08, with the next 400 being 4:57, and going all out with a 4:48(downhill). .85 mile cooldown afterwards.
