Short-Term Running Goals:

-Find some good local races to run that will motivate me to stay in shape.

Long-Term Running Goals:

-Run a few fast marathons. Grandma's, St. George, and Boston are on my target list.

-Stay fit for a very long time. I believe what goes into making a competitive runner at age 60 is much different than age 20, just like what goes into making a good marathoner differs from a good sprinter. I hope that by taking care of my body, I can be very fast for my age as I get older.

Personal:

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I live in the Twin Cities with my family and am an Epidemiology PhD Student. Running is the only hobby I have time for :)

Hard to tell how far it was because MapMyRun is so bad under Outside. But it was an afternoon run so I probably ran this far even though I was tired. WRR including all of Winchell trail, ran from Masonic children's down toward the locks for the first time but then emerged up at the veteran's home.

I was grateful to have been able to run at alll today after the night and morning that we had, but the run actually went well. It didn't feel too windy and I didn't feel too tired or full.

6:39 pace, first time this year running Farmer's fields. It was a glorious afternoon; the sky couldn't be more blue. Very enjoyable.

6:07 pace, Resevoir Woods at about 10 am due to a late start (but not in a bad way). That is a pretty darn good pace for how I felt doing it and my life circumstances right now. I'm very grateful. Legs felt tired but not from running and overall it was fine. I did three 1 minute pickups on the way back.
